  • Wow never seen this cistern before. When I saw the red badge on it at first I thought it was a Centurion at first.

  • @CaptainLenny I would have thought it was a shires. Some of the older shires have red logos

  • Great old building, and like how its quite old inside.Reminds me of the old park toilets in Birmingham, which sadly was demolished in the early 90s.

    Great vids my friend!

  • @breadcrub I work near here and I had a sneaky peek through the window of the ladies. One of their toilets has a white replacement high level and the the second toilet there seems to be no cistern at all so maybe just a low level got put in. The black Viking is still here as of Jan 2012.

  • @smoogie7 Hey great news! Always great to hear of high cisterns still been around,I find the white ones more rare.I saw one in Goodrington, when I snaked in the mens,I will try to video it next time :D

You have some great toilets where you live my friend!

  • @breadcrub we had a similer one like this in Alexandra Park but they got replaced some ten years ago and I also remember some in Poole Park, twisted pipe shires but they must have gone around 1999/2000. I was going to film some summer season seafront shires but the council beat me to it and refurbished them that spring. They are now metal toilets :-(

  • @smoogie7 Thats a shame my friend, and I hate those metal toilets. The twisty pipe ones are some of my favourites, still see them in Goodrington when I visit, always seem to have very good flushes as well.

Shame so many high cisterns are getting replaced, was commonplace in the 80s,my parents house had one in the outhouse :-)

  • This always spooks me of that delelict one in a park and these disused one

  • This year the park has been re landscaped. I was worried the toilets would get done over but they left them as they are! A few weeks ago to celebrate the reopening of the park known as 'The Green' a fun fair was held here. The toilets had never looked so busy and a few portaloos had been provied but I was pleased to see people still using these high levels!

  • Wow! good find....I saw an awsome video on here the other day which i now cant find, it was very, very old toilets, dudley black tanks that had gaffer tape on the lids. Anyone help? cheers!
