my girlfriend is a korean born here in america, and even though Im white and am currently dating her(parents didnt agree with), they eventually gave me respect and love despite the fact Im an american and white
thats a big hurtle to jump over for them.
in fact, their mom always makes me food and hangs out with us. shes awesome. of course sometimes I feel like crap because theyre still elitist and shun me as a whole, the progress Ive seen makes me so happy...

music preference has little to do with culture these days as much as it did a few generations back. My girlfriend loves death metal, and she likes immortal. we saw dimmu borgir together for fun. Im not too into the black metal scene, but I dont disrespect it. her mom who is not even american and who is in south korea right now even likes gojira a lot (french death metal band). she think theyre funky.personal preference is your main answer. im sure culture still might have some part..

ok ,first, genetically she's half Korean, and she is virtually an American of Korean descent, she definitely is different from the vast marjority of Korean public. I'm not trying to generalize our people in a certain way, but if your girl is one of us, then she is extaordinarily unique.
