  • 4 loco used to seriously fuck you up before they changed the formula

  • HC did you try legend of mana sword of mana or dawn of mana

  • Chibikko Hammer, Suitable name for the effects, also slightly redundant. In case any one is curious, Chibi, in japanish means Small or diminutive. and The Suffix Ko Is added onto words or names to give it a cuter or smaller feel. Like -Chen in German..... ~The more you know~

  • fast traveling in this game seems really painful

  • Speaking of puns and Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest IX is quite evil in those regards. Not that I've beat it yet. Since I've also been juggling other games. Even so I think some people have too much time on their hands.

  • He had stir fry? Now im hungry

  • @ValisHD My brother is trying to torture you. :D

  • @HCBailly Basiccly but, it gives me ideas for my Lets eat video.

  • Ever since I got a job, I've watched less and less of your videos... unfortunately :(

That, and I'm not really interested in the current games. Also, YouTube screwed up and didn't show your videos a lot of times :(

  • What? Don't kill me in my sleep. Q_Q

  • "Papa Smurf, can I lick your ass?"...

  • If it hasn't said to tou before. Dom Pérignon is the name of the monk that discovered how to make Champagne Wine. It's also the name of a famous Champagne maker nowadays.

So yay, it's an other french pun into that game.

  • I've never had an energy drink before,never wanted to,but thanks to JB I don't think I ever will,lol killer energy drinks,wow

  • hcbailly do you plan on lping legend of mana for psx? its one of my fave of all time

  • In this episode, @HCBailly uses the term "ironic" correctly!

  • Yes it's a type of expensive Wine.

  • @11:31 Hey, I like Four Loko. Fruit Punch is my favorite flavor. There's nothin like chuggin down a can while watching LP's.

  • I wonder if this is where Nintendo got it's inspiration for Minish Cap. :O!

  • There are name puns aplenty in Evolution: Worlds. Every major character is pretty much named after some sort of projectile weapon. For example, the main character, Mag Launcher has a butler named Gre Nade. It only goes downhill from there.

  • The LD50 of caffeine for humans is estimated at between 150-200mg/kg, so that works out to a median lethal dose for somebody between 5.4 to 7.2 kilos (about 12-16 lbs). It probably would take a few to kill you outright. However, people have though required hospitalization from as little as 2 grams before though...

  • @MrHal457 It would actually be 5.4 to 7.2 grams. A thousand milligrams is a gram. Pounding one bottle of the caffeinated mio wouldn't kill you, but a few might. Still, that would be a pretty easy way to die, considering it would take about 100 cups of coffee in a row otherwise.

  • 5:04 Link's Awakening reference! ... sorta

  • @PianoManT Wow, I'm surprised you caught that ultra-subtle reference there. Good call!

  • @PianoManT How? I've watched through that part several times, and I don't get the reference. A bit of explaining please :D

  • @Werewolf211 It's from the third(?) rung in the trading side quest. "Make-up, dresses, jewelry -- I want it all! Sigh, and some new accessories would be nice." (may not be an exact quote, but close) Yeah, it was a very loose reference.

  • @PianoManT Oh right! That one! The one you give the ribbon to, right? :D

  • Using the cannon on the castle would probably involve destroying a good amount of the castle they want to reclaim, and actually hauling up cannon balls. And seeing how far up they are on the mountains, can you honestly blame them for not wanting to lug up cannonballs that probably weigh near a ton?

  • I think the Corobokkle are based on an Ainu legend from northern Japan of a race of tiny people that live in the forest. Like nature spirits...or Smurfs, lol

  • Dom Pérignon (pronounced pehr-ee-nyan) is a vintage champagne produced by Moët & Chandon, and is named after the Benedictine monk Dom Pierre Pérignon who pioneered many of the methods of champagne production.

Perrier (pronounced something between pehr-ee-ay and pehr-yay) is a brand of mineral water from the naturally carbonated spring in Vergèze, France.

  • @arcticbanana66 Pérignon is more like "pay-re-nyo" and Perrier is more like "pay-re-yay"... I know because I'm french lol (well quebec french)

  • @HCBailiy: The next video you could call it "Jinn and Tonic" . :D

  • @llloyd4 I fully support this comment.

  • It's always good when you have a way to deal with debuffs...especially if you don't have someone who can cast a buff to counter it out.

  • You think any game has bad puns? Try Brave Fencer Musashi. Everybody is named after food, or a way of preparing food. Ugh.

  • That drink, my goodness. I don't think there are any energy drinks where the drinker doesn't come to regret it later.

  • @PTp1ranha energy drinks in japan (though they call them "health drinks") dont taste that awesome but they focus more on vitamin overload than caffeine

  • better question:if the ninjas got a hold of the flowers to put Rolante down, wouldn't they be immune to it?

Also, are you sure there is no level scaling? Were those L9 Rabilions there before? Also, can't you scale by going into a Godbeast dungeon, fighting enemies and then leave without killing the Godbeast, go and kill another one, and then come back and have the original enemies level up?

  • @ff2paladin Enemies' levels don't scale with yours, unlike most RPGs that utilize that horrible mechanic. They scale with the plot.

  • @HCBailly ahh, that makes sense. Plot scaling.

  • @HCBailly Uh-oh, you might not like Lunar SSSC...well, if it's any consolation, ONLY the bosses scale with the hero's level in those games--not the regular enemies.

  • @speyeker The scaling in that game gave me fits. "MUST KILL EVERYTHING." "NO, BOSSES GET STRONGER." "ENEMY, MUST FIGHT." "AUUUUGH."

  • This is tough... State of the Union or HCBailly... State of the Union or HCBailly... Politics or RPG goodness?

Well, when I put it that way, the choice is obvious. *hits play*

  • Lise pulls out her spear

    Hawk pushes Lise away

    me :)

  • I like the reference to Secret of Mana in the title and the description. Sage Joch is such a pain in the ass.

  • Not happy to see that all the comments thus far have called the beverage "Don Perignon" like the character in this game as opposed to "Dom Perignon" which is what it's real name is. Yes, it's a pun, no, both are not "Don."

  • I cannot believe Hawk calls himself Papa Smurf!! That makes me laugh!

  • Bon Voyage, Merci, Don Perignon, now Papa Smurf!!

I see what you did there, game. :)

  • @10:41

    Problem? U mad, sis?

  • don perrignon is expensive champagne

  • Wonder if JB reads any of the comments on the videos he's in?

  • don peringon is a very, very, very expensive champagne.

  • Don Perrigon is a very expensive wine.

  • Glad I waited up for this. JB's intros and outros are great. I love how HC tried not to acknowledge them, just adds to the comic effect!

  • A lot of the sound effects are also in Super Mario RPG. *Fun Fact*

  • @wake1336 I didn't know that.

  • Under 100 club.

  • "Soon enough"? Super intense waiting activate.

  • I want that Hammer in real life That would be the coolest thing ever

  • wohoo! another hcbailley video before bedtime :)

  • This is great
