  • this song brings back memories of an old friend and I at the alamo, and the Menger, special memories of times past...I wonder if he remembers up in NYC

  • One of the best '80's country bands.

  • look at those yellow shorts

  • YEE HAW!!

  • 17 people must be fans of Lady Gaga

  • This is one of the few songs that should be redone, it's not as good as it could be.

  • @lmolinari78b ARE YOU NUTS!!!!!!!!?????????

  • @lmolinari78b Nobody could touch this original.

  • Brilliant Song

  • I knew this song through Boys Don't Cry :'(

  • the first dance I ever danced was to this song at our school gym with my girlfriend who is now my wife of 12 years still lovin it!

  • I was a dj back during the late 80's and early 90's and I used to play the hell out of this song. They were the best vocal band during that period. No one could match their harmonies. It's a shame Larry Stewart tried to break-out on his own. They could have been right there with Alabama as one of the greatest.

  • maybe country music, needs more mullets, I miss the 90's

  • WOW I remember those shorts, OMG Im getting old LOL But I still love the great music like this. Never go wrong with a good band

  • Boys dont cry...lol...never heard of that.....has nothing to do with this song...just sayn

  • @nwosukz This song is featured prominently in the movie "Boys Don't Cry"

  • "For every heart you break,

You pay a price" .. this goes out to all those who were used, cheated on and ditched by their lovers. I feel your pain.

  • @ayashadini I couldn't agree more. I'm a firm believer in what comes around goes around.

  • Just watched them live last monday in Pigeon Forge for the fourth of July. They are definitely still together.

  • I like the song better song by a woman for some reason!

  • boy's don't cry :'(

  • the bluest eyes in texas...RIP brendan. gone too soon.

  • Brittana FanFic brought me here. :">

  • where did country go wrong? respectable groups like this never went very big, yet lousy pop "boy bands" were huge. I've alwys loved Alabama, which i consider a "Man Band" Restless Heart, Diamond Rio, Little Texas, Blackheart, RIcochet, and i'm sure i'm forgetting some are other great examples of talented, harmonic groups of respectable heterosexual men who make GOOD music. Statler Brothers and Oak Ridge Boys will always be favorites of mine.

  • They opend for alabama for years. Then alabama sold out and they began to suck

  • 14 people don't like blue eyes...

  • i love that song and video . but right towards the end lose the sound then the video wish i could watch the whole thing now thats music right their they dont make like that anymore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, my blue eyed lover.

  • Love this song! Love the Boys Don't cry Movie!

  • I grew up listening to these guys with my Dad.

They're all legends & 1 the greatest group of guys anyone will ever hear of or listen to.

Every song of theirs is a favorite & are the greatest songs ever recorded & performed.

I love these guys & all their songs.

  • What ever happened to restless heart? did they split up or were they screwed over by the record companies?

  • @ironduke27 They're still together, recording and touring. Restless heart band (without spaces, of course), is their website.

  • @runnkd I have seen them 2xs in the last two years at Banita Creek Hall in Nac. Texas! These guys are SO good...!!!

  • @runnkd Larry Stewart left the band for a solo career, and they just didn't have the sound anymore. That's what killed the band. They may be touring again, but I don't think Larry is with them. Gotta check out their website, I guess.

  • @ironduke27 there still together just playing smaller venues

  • @ironduke27 They're still together and still play shows! They were in my hometown a few years ago and sadly, I didn't know until it was too late :( Good thing, though, they ARE still together!!!!

  • @ironduke27 they are going to be at the Kern County Fair in Bakersfield tomorrow night.

  • @ironduke27 i saw them a couple of months ago and they are still going strong :)

  • To ktillery43: Im so sorry about your loss. Ive listened to this video many times so I cant believe how I havent seen your post. My girlfriend was born inn 84, so Im very nostalgic about that year. I hope you are well. God bless you. - Norway-

  • This is a boy from my freshman year of college, 1988-89. He was from Arkansas, not Texas, but he still had the bluest eyes I've ever seen. We were never serious, but he was fun to spend time with, and I'd love to see him again today.

  • for every heart you break, you pay the price...

  • another dream that ended wayyy too sooon...

  • this song provokes memories of so many sad times for us all....but yet, it is hauntingly beautiful.......my heartfelt thoughts go out to u all...as well as myself.......peace

  • These guys rock! the Harmony is just Incredible. I have yet to hear any other bad that can sing with such perfect harmony as Restless heart..

  • I lost my love to another... Is all I have to say

  • really pretty song!

  • ENJOY! BECAUSE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANYTHING LIKE THESE GUYS AGAIN.

  • Reminds me of "Boys don't cry"...Awesome movie.

  • Somebody give me a damn tissue!!!! booohooohoooohooohoooo

  • Why oh why did that era have to end?!!!

  • @TommygunNG - As long as we remember, it never ends. I know how you feel though.

  • This is when country was country, makes you miss this kind of pride in country music

  • His name is Larry Stewart. The modern day crooner!!!! My opinion only!

  • Can you please tell me the name of the lead singer in this video. Didn't he leave Restless Heart and go single about 15 yrs. ago? Thanks! I love these guys!

  • @Grandrose3 - Larry Stewart, and yes he did go on his own.

  • Can you please tell me the name of the lead singer...(Larry......?) Didn't he leave Restless Heart and go single about 15 yrs. ago? Thanks for posting. Love these guys!

  • This reminds me of happier, less complicated times. Great music, with glorious soaring harmonies. I was wild about this group when all those great songs were hitting the airwaves, and buying each new recording was like Christmas so great was the excitement. Love this song, love this group. Thanks so much for posting this video!!!

  • Beautiful Harmony... where is the music like this today????

  • I could listen to this song all day long!

  • this is corny beyond comprehension

  • Hey business in the front, party at the back :) hahahaha

  • GREAT Harmoney!

  • Im not a country fan but I have always loved these guys along with Black hawk

  • hahahahahahahahahahahaha those clothes are epic and have major suckage at the same time.

  • love it

  • Still one of the best songs ever recorded for country music bands. You just couldn't beat Restless Heart!!!

  • this isn't just a great country song, it's a great song period. It's sad, without being corny or feeling sorry for itself, the pain is genuine, the melody is excellent....just a plain great song.......

  • @Darthbelal I agree with everything you said about this song. It is rare these da that you get a band or artist that puts feeling and emotion in their songs. their harmony was excellent and it just all came together to make an amazing song that has hit home with a good number of people I am sure, myself included. I have had a few blue eyed beauties haunt my dreams at night.

  • I remember this, I remember all of these Restless Heart songs. Thanks to riding on the bus in elementery school. I wonder what the kids in other parts of the country heard on the bus, and what do kids hear on the bus now? Is the bus radio silent for fear of being racist, vulgar, or arbitrary?

All I know is that hearing all of this country music when I was young probably brought on more philisophical ideas than anything else could have at a young age.

  • Boys don't cry :)

  • i love this song! =')

  • I guess the Saddle Rack in San Jose is gone. Glad the boys are still around.

  • Nothing like the 80s-mid 90s country songs!

  • Love this song! Big Fan of Restless Heart for years! Thanks for the upload :)

  • Is that Jane Krakowski from 30 Rock at the beginning?

  • amazing voices is all i gota say

  • I have heard this first time in Boys dont cry and seemed like a perfect song... This original version is even better and there is just one word to describe it: WONDERFUL!

  • I love this band and this song, but cant help but wonder. As much as they mention Texas, why is my state's (Tennessee) flag on the set?

  • Amazing Harmony!

  • Unbeliveable harmony

  • yea cshood1 i think 80;s was best time for all music from rock to country..

  • this is one of the five songs I want played at my funeral. great song!

  • y'all from texas?

  • One of the best songs I ever heard,My daughter as a baby loved it i'm sure when I played it while she was going to sleep.Velvet voices!

  • damn give me chillzzzz wew...

  • Now this is real country music.

  • i live in TEXAS

  • great song.<3

  • one hell of a song!!!!! i love their harmony!!!! gives me chills..i think i first heard this song when i was 5...20 years years old nd still a good

  • Just got tickets to see Restless Heart and Bucky Covington July 3rd in Albertville, Alabama.

  • @BamaDan197319 Me too!!! so excited!

  • I had uber-intense blue eyes as a little kid, but now mine change color. And the only person I know whose blue eyes stand out in my mind was a friend from high school who thought my eyes were creepy, because they turn foggy silver when I space out. We never dated--we didn't suit. And my man's eyes also change color, so it's all good.

  • @ktillery43

Why do you want to share that with the internet?

not to be disrespectful but the internet is cruel!

  • Still remember my true love from high school. Not gonna delve into too many details but her blue eyes always made me weak in the knees.

  • Great song!!

  • This is one of those gem songs that you never forget. Touches you in a very profound way. A true classic from a VERY unsung band. Love the harmonies.

  • schön,schön,einfach schön

  • mullets! yes! lol

  • Love, Love, Love, This Song and Restless Heart! This Song was My Ex Girlfriends And I Song because She said that I have the bluest eyes that She had ever seen and that is one of the things that attracted her to me! I love You Kristen, Always And Forever!

  • Dear Lisa,

Love you! Hope he has blue eyes!

  • Oh the memories this song bring to me. After all the years a little corner of heart still belongs to that blue eyes boy from Texas. He broke my heart but I wouldn't trade that time or relationship it was truly special.

  • First heard this song from "Boys Dont Cry" with Hillary Swank. Have played it a million and one times, and will play it more. No I also have the video clip. Thank you for giving me more spinal shivers.

  • i miss antamok, haha.. jamming

  • @87deathproof I'll always wait for my true love...I date other females but she holds a special place that to this day no other female has touched. I'll wait for her till the end of my days.

  • @y2joct7 IF she means that much to you, why didn't you hold on more tightly? It's sad that you will wait forever for her....yet, you only have one life to live and your love is just going to be lost like that...You should look for her....true love doesn't come by easily. Good luck!

  • Still remember my very first boyfriend from high school. He had the bluest eyes ever. We were to be married in July 1984. He was killed in an auto accident June 1984..The year I graduated from high school. I will never forget you Steve..You are always on my mind..

  • I'm soo sorry for your loss. May all your memories be good ones.

  • I'm so sorry...just know his baby blues are watching over you. <3

  • @ktillery43 Oh I am so sorry... :-( Yes, songs take us right back to a special memory..God Bless you for sharing. HUGS

  • @ktillery43 That's so sad it brought a tear to my eye ;(

  • @ktillery43 I am so sorry for your loss, We don't understand why things happen on earth, pain, sorrow, death. May God comfort you as only he can. You take care of yourself and God bless.

  • @ktillery43 How terrible. Yet as time goes by I hope you find comfort in everything this world has to offer, such as this simple song. He'll be always watching over you, That is what i believe.

  • @ktillery43 9 months ago but i just found this song and love it so much. your story reminds me of my uncle. although i was born in 84, he also graduated in 84. i didnt get much time to get to know him as he died 10 years later of cancer. the time i did spend with him was great though. he had blue eyes as does his kid who i havent seen since he passed. i remember listening to restless heart with him, my uncle. he loved them. miss him a lot too still to this day ill never forget him.

  • @ktillery43

It's stories like this that make our beloved music come alive. Thank you for sharing that.

  • @ktillery43 I can understand where you are coming from. I was to marry a guy that I dated for four years but he was killed by a drunk driver. I was actually a volunteer EMT and he was a firefighter for the same dept so me and all of his buddies were the ones to respond to the call. It is a hard thing to deal with. And you never forget them.. RIP Clayton. A part of me will always and forever love you.

  • @ktillery43 not to be mean and sorry for your lost but isnt june in front of july? you all got married in july of 84 and he past in june of 84

  • @johndoe590 they were to get married but her boyfriend died dummy.

    Rest in peace.

  • @johndoe590 Please....READ ktillery43's entry again....think you missed something! ;-)

  • @ktillery43 touching..... Sorry for your loss dear. :(

  • @ktillery43 this always reminds me of a special time too.

  • @ktillery43 I LOST MY MOM ON JULY 4th. 2006 & I STILL HURT, SO I FEEL YOU.

  • @thefuzzyman1983 i lost my father (66) on the 4th of July 2007. Cancer got him. miss him so much. One of my most favorite songs.

  • @ktillery43 sad to begin with based on the movie alone....so sorry for your loss, I can't even imagine...PEACE xo

  • @ktillery43 Well , your going to piss off future lovers .

  • I really don't think this song could of been done with any other state then Texas... The bluest eyes in Vermont just isn't right...

  • I think you're right, I just went through different states and none of them sound right...

  • I was in San Antonio in the mid 90s when the old TNN (The Nashville Network) was broadcasting from Sea World there, and Restless Heart was the headliner and the place sold out in a little under a day, which at the time was a record. Alan Jackson a year or two later broke it, but that's how country music fans appreciate good music, and Restless Heart has it covered from top to bottom - wish they toured and recorded. Great music in any format you call it.

  • They're still together, recording, and touring.

  • @runnkd - thx for the scoop! as you can tell i don't go on YT much but i go to a lot of my fav singers from the 80s and 90s and these guys were awesome. Big King George fan, but have room for Little Texas, Shenandoa, Restless Heart, Colin Raye, Sammy Kershaw and a bunch of others - the recent classic country rocks! thx for the posts!

  • @cshood1 They've actually been touring WITH Colin Raye, funny you should mention him. If you go to Restless Heart Band dott comm (without the spaces, of course), you'll see a tour schedule.

  • i wish tnn was still around.

  • @cshood1 Yeah i was at a concert a couple of weeks ago and they said they are putting a new album out

  • the greatest country band of the 80's by far!!!!!!!!!!!

  • INDEED THEY ARE!..

  • my guy has the bluest eyes in texas...what a beautiful song!

  • I have always wondered who sang this song!!! it's amazing. I found this when i was listening to a cover that Reba McEntire did of I'll Still Be Loving You... AMAZING

  • magical song. LOVED boys don't cry.

  • HUH??? What happened to the sound at 4:42? It just stopped!

  • Son of a gun, it does! I never saw that happen before. I looked at my original that I uploaded, and it doesn't cut out... seems to be a corruption in the YouTube flash copy. Sorry, everybody!!!

  • I'm not even american and i don't listen to country , but i just heard this song in the movie " Boys don't cry " and it touched me so much...than I had to find this song and now I listen to it often...it's amazing song !

  • I'm not even american and i have never listened to that kind of music , but that song touched me so much when i heard it in the movie " Boys don't cry " ..than i had to find this song and i think it's amazing ...

  • 1563MN the song your looking for is "even now" by exile. the video is on youtube.

  • Im looking for a title and the group on a song. The harmonies sound like RH, but i cannot find a title on their discography that sounds right. The words I remember are "Even now, with the truth so clear, my heart wont believe that your just not here... even now without a reason to, I go on loving you, even now" Does that sound familiar to anyone? I tried searching under "Even Now" but all I get is the Barry Manilow version and a new one but not this one. I think its from the 80's or 90's.
