I can't watch Mitchell Lawrence without envisioning him in those speedo bikinis he wore when he and the Not Necessarily the News cast competed in Star Games. :-)
Hello, in the early 80's I submitted a Sniglet to NNTN on HBO and am looking for that episode. The sniglet is TELEVATOR, introduced by Stuart Pankin who was depicted on a television as the screen rolled out of control and he was looking up and down in confusion.
Thanks for any leads on helping find this episode!
they used to use "motherless children" by clapton for their opening song, until a later season when it was replaced by an original news-theme sounding piece. this particular clip looks more like a joke one-off than the actual opening.

Thanks for posting this! I remember this show very well in the 80's when I was a kid. It came on HBO, and my parents watched it all the time.

What happened to "motherles children" by Clapton. That was the show's theme IIRC.
