@fristytron it was a buildup of many things, but it was mostly about his family, mom and sister. At the time it happened he puled his shirt and Zidane said if you want my shirt so bad I will give it to you after the match, to which then Materazzi said something again about his mom and it was just too much....Zidane revealed that his mom was sick at the time and it struck a cord with him say when you hear it over and over again it becomes too much...

I think players can tell everything they want, this is part of the game, this is soccer not a chess match.

Even if Materazzi insult zidane's mother, I think there's nothing bad.

That is very common doring playing, I think zidane simply answer by speaking or doing a goal for French fans. Not acting like a stupid rustic country man and violating, trampling, all Fifa roules just beacouse it's his last match and nobody could punishing him.
