Hey guys i have found a great way to do it. At first it was the same for me: the bottom or the top card was flying out of the way. Then i took a video of it and slowed it down to see what really causes this to happen and saw two obvious reasons: My thumb was not moving out of the way and i was applying too much pressurre. Then i moved my index closer to my ring finger, and moved my thumb out of the way at the exact moment i flip it. Try this, really worked for me...

The best thing I found to do is practice this using your dominant hand. I am right handed and in the video he uses his left hand. When I tried with my left I had less control but with my right it was much easier. So try that, also use about half the deck and put a rubber band around it. Do this instead of them in the box so you can actually feel the cards. I would recommend practicing a half flip first like he said too then gradually moving up. Thanks for the Vid man!!

@nelsonguo2 Try using another deck, one of your cards may be crimped, causing half to fly off. If you use a new deck, the top few cards will likely fly off at first, but keep at it. So using an old deck isn't bad idea, because the cards will stay together.

it might have happened to you also : if you have 1 or 2 cards on top of the deck face up, rest face down, and deckflip then the card/s on top will be on bottom face down, no clean up!!!! so we can take advance of that 'Card That Flies Off' try it out!!!!

Thank u!! got the technique now, just got 2 keep practicing. I manage 2 do it every 2 or 3 turns. I recommend doing this sitting down so all the cards fall on ur lap rather than on the floor lol.

If i can help some people i would try to use about a third of the deck when you first practice but with the same technique. Then just build up the amount of cards you use for this and you will eventually be able to do it the full deck :)

@McFruphen I found that it was my middle finger that was curled to far over the top if the deck, the friction was sliding the card off... Try moving your middle finger more to the side of the cards... Let me know if that helped :)

thank you very much for this tutorial, just like you said im not into xcm either but i been looking trough crazy cuts stuff to find something i could use and after many non so successfull attempted you made me discover this 1 second flourish. I found that only middle finger and thumb to hold the deck work better for meand only the nail on my index must be used to flick the cards around. the rest seem a question of pressure, i find it easier with a soft touch and low pressure on cards. Thank you!

You could do a trick with this. You can have oyur spectator selct a card and then control it to top and then you do your deck flip with the one card falling off top and you can reveal that it is their card . :)))

oh and i forgot to say , my grip is a littlebit diffrent. For the first card to fly u need let the thumb grip to the sideway of the pack without the 1 card ofc , than u do the flip, and the 1 card will fly , if u want 4 aces to fly , just dont hold to the first 4 cards etc etc

As for the First card flying of the deck , it is because u kinda hold the first card ( dunno how to say this ) u just need not to let your thumb hold to the 1 card , and than the card will not be one pack with all the rest , and that is the reason it go randomly and fly over ! BUT it is a good thing .. cause for example a control the card to the top , than i flip the deck , and The card i controled Fly over the deck to the table or smth , and it is his card .. and he will be amased etc etc
