I think everyone is forgetting about one of the most important parts of horror and thrillers. SCORE AND SOUND EFFECTS. That builds suspense with the shots. People keep referring to Alfred Hitchcock but fail to mention how good the score and sound effects are in his films.
This is wonderfully instructive. People who want to make a horror movie, they believe you need FX, blood and make-up to make suspense and horror; but the only thing you need is a camera, direction, an actor and a script. And a _few_ FX the few times there is a climax. See Hitchcocks Psycho for example!
Finally, a good example of real suspense. Many people mixes up MISTERY and SUSPENSE, when they are different things. Mistery implies that the character and the audience are unaware of something. On the other hand, suspense implies that the character is unaware of a menace that the audience knows or sees.
This helped, the blender scene was corny but nice try :] not saying I could do better lmao, the fer-bee thing was funny and the whole zoom in on the eye to see the killer was great! :D, after he sticks his hand in the blender and pushes him out that wasn't suspenseful, once he swings the knife have him turn around to dodge it and add a little more action to get the viewers entertained, good video over all though! I learned alot! ^^
Wow, that was really good. I especially liked the part at 42 seconds with the picture being pushed into view, and then the slide over to the note, and then the cut to the sink.
The shadow figure standing there was also well-done...and then the picture on the floor at the end was awesome...I liked everything about it actually.
hahahaha the blender XD hahaha

Sorry this tutorial was not that good. Watch Alfred Hitcock's movies, he was the one that made suspense rise.
