a nation is known by its children and youth going to schools and university. I am proud that i am an Indian, inspite of all the problems the desire of the children to learn and progress is impressive. I am today studying in australia as a post-grad but i like my early education, we learned english with no burden of learning but for desire to succeed and compete with outside world, i take pride to say our democratic institutions have not failed us
TCV Ladakh is an experience of hell on earth. A real exploitation of children. Child labour is taking place in there. The stupid green-brained authorities(Particulary Gen Tenzin) make children work like donkeys to shine the floor, plough farms, water the artificial plantations even in winter and decorate the exteriors giving the children least time to concentrate on studies.
If there really is Karma those people will surely rot in hell for being responsible for looting the childhood of many.
you should check out the book, A Way Home by Kitty Leaken and you will have an idea of what i am talking about. so, for that matter, i wanted the audio (not the music) but children talking among themselves or teachers teaching them in a classroom. do you think it's possible that i can get a copy of the original footage?
For this Final Project for the class, I am thinking of making a documentary on lives of Tibetan students in india through their own pictures and paintings.
hi, first of all that was awesome. you remind me of my childhood. appreciate it. i am also thinking about putting up a photomontage (Ken Burn's Effect) for my final project. o, the question is... can i use your audio ONLY for a class project?
hi, thanks so much for the reply. no i didn't go to Choklamsar but this is how my school looked like too. by the way, my name is khenrab and i study film at hampshire college, MA, USA. you should check out my "tag" on youtube, Tibetan Uprising Day - New York City.
Thank you so much for sharing this video. This was my school, since from kindergarden. I owe so much to this school in many different ways. I like to say thank you, and thank you very much to everyone from HH The Dalai Lama to sponser, dedicated staff members and to anyone who has remotest hand in this great work of giving live to distress childs. Thank you, Best!

yes you can, it is the Pavane by Faurè, I have adapted to the video, so maybe you'd better use the original one.
Thanks for your comments, if you need other things let me know, did you study at Choglamsar?
