@proudnole This was my only year to try out, but it seems like it. I remember them having billie's bounce as a requirement one year when I was thinking about trying out.

My friends think that this video is fake or doctored in some fashion because your fingers don't match up with the audio but the visual of your articulation does. Any comments/defense of that?

@MusicEnslaved The video was recorded with a regular camera. I recorded the audio in a home studio and that's the best we could do to match up the audio with the video.

Really nice tone i would say but i would say use more legato in your Swing phrasing i think you are using too much articulation...i Can see what you are trying to do but the melody needs to swing a bit more

good tone. I would just suggest working on your feel a little bit. You seem to rush a lot of figures which makes it a little bit uncomfortable to listen to sometimes. Also your solos seem to be heavy on the root and 5th of each chord, there are a lot more interesting notes to hit than those, just listen to a lot of records and your vocabulary will increase immensly. Keep workin, sounds pretty good.

That was pretty good. Even on the higher notes of the register you did really well. The first part of the girl from Ipanema got a bit quiet, but besides that you had a quiet good tone and technique. Well done!

I didn't end up sending my materials for the Grammy Jazz Ensemble but I did for JBOA. Apparently they are running behind on auditions. They were supposed to notify everyone whether they made it or not by November 6th at first and then they said they would notify everyone no later than the fourth week of November. As of today they still haven't notified me of anything so I have no idea

No, i'm not afraid of the upper register. I had traded my old mouthpiece two days before I recorded; therefore, I didn't want to risk my sound with a mouthpiece that I was barely used to.

I play on a Mark VI with a Ponzol and sometimes with a Meyer or Metal Beechler 7.

Not bad, you seem a little anxious in the first piece, which happens to me when I either try to put too many notes in or don't have a good feel for the chord changes.

GFI is a hard piece to solo on, especially at the bridge. I think as you grow more comfortable with it its gonna be awesome.

Very Nice! I love that sound you produce on your sax! You follow chord changes well and and I love how you create tension and resolve. If I may, If you have time to improve, Billies bounce was alittle rushed, It seemed alittle out of control. Your ballad was beautiful but sounded alittle airy at moments use a ton of air!
