Awsome Catch of the Waterloo/Marshall Wigwag. You know bout what time they ussually go thru there? Is a a daily route or weekly or? * would love to get some video of the wigwag in action in person while it's still active.
@celixdog04 Thanks! I believe it's Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the trips out past Sun Prairie, at least that's the way it was when this was shot. They seem to be getting out of the Madison yard in the early afternoon, although it can take 2-4 hours for them to reach the wigwag depending on the amount of switching needed in Madison and Sun Prairie. Your best bet is to have a scanner with the FRED detecting frequencies programmed into it, and follow the line until you get a bead on them.
@HighIronofWisconsin I do have a scanner... beens a bugger finding frquencies at times.. The FRED detector I had no idea about! Would I just google FRED Detection Freq. to find listings?
@celixdog04 452.9375 and 457.9375. Even if your scanner only displays six digits (161.520 for example), enter them in and it should work. It does with mine.
What kind of horn is this, it is one of the nicest one's I've heard

Did This Wigwag Retire Or Not? Is The Bell On That Wigwag A WRRS Mini Bell?
ctw100s 1 year ago
@ctw100s Still there as far as I know. It's a standard size WRRS bell. Mini bells are smaller and higher-pitched.

@ctw100s For instance, the first (gated) crossing in the video has a mini bell.
