I sing in my church choir. I hate to break it to you, but it is more than just singing. It's a group of people who become your second family. I looked past the imperfections and looked at their expressions. Their message was conveyed, don't you think? OR did you miss the message entirely because you were too busy being critical. You know what? They sang with conviction and from their hearts. What needs fixed are some attitudes.

The accompanists don't have the concept of the #9 right. There are no minor chords in this song. They're all dominant 7 chords. The choir sings Ab minor over Ab7. When the tune goes to Db7, Ab minor still fits.

Great energy for the Lord! I love this song and remember singing it in choir. So much fun, because serving the Lord AND going thru trials (that you know you can go through, because you've been through worse trials that have KILLED you!) is very engaging and overwhelming calm, peaceful and joyful. What a Mighty God We Serve!

An oldie goldie! I love this song. The choir's sound and appearance need work (it sounded like the musician and the choir were in different keys) but the song is still a blessing. As for uniformity, If you're going to spend money on nice robes, your footware should also be coordinated; it detracts from the presentation. Just like you match your plates, glasses, and napkins on your dinner table, your lchoral ook should be uniformed.

This song and group is so POWERFUL. I moved and really enjoyed the vocals. I lost my mother less than a year ago and the date she past is about two weeks from today and she has been on my mind for the past the few nights. I don't know why but I think it's because I am struggling with my family and finances. She knows that I am not one to break down and let no one see me hurting and definetely cry. I think she directed me to this song a cold chill came over me as soon begun to sing.
