awesome. you just about taught me revit. from what you just showed I can now draw 1 and 2 story houses (i'm a drafty but havent used revit before) in less than an hour. and it only took me 3 hours going back over this video to get comfortable!
Hi david. I couldn't quite catch your email address. I am currently studying at university and need to work with revitt constantly. Your email would be a great source of help for me for future references. could you please post it up??
Also, do you have anymore videos on rendering with revitt and drawing reflected ceiling plans?? it would help me alot!! :)
i have a problem.. im using revit 2008 and when for example i change the position of a window in the elevation view (such as placing it at a certain height from the floor), my floor plan doesnt show the windows anymore after i did the move. i dont understand why... the floor plan shows as if i didnt place any windows at all. can someone help?
Thanks so much.. You showed so many quick ways to do stuff.. and some new things I didn't know about Revit.. thanks a lot! even though i had to rewind it cuz you explained it pretty fast.. but still awesome job.
Thank you so much for this upload, very informative! I am currently in school learning Revit and i was having a really rough time working with this program, again thank you so much, this video has helped me a lot ! take care :)
great vid man but, are you doing this tutorial for people who know how or are familiar with revit ? because im new on revit and thought this vid was going to help but it didnt, you're too fast man!
David thank you very much for this. After using AutoCAD for a few years and attempting to do some house plans I was a little lost with Revit so that was a great help! Much appreciated :)
David, cheers for the upload - very informative. Can you tell how these documents will be transferred and used by general contractors, construction managers & builders and what will the benefits to those companies be by designers using this platform.
@sunglance Hi Sunglance, Your contractors can view the data by using DWFx technology from Autodesk. All the files, project management files etc can be published. You can also use Buzzsaw or other EDM software such as Meridian. The greatest advantage is a BIM (Building information Model), changes are reflected real time via the disciplines lowering costs and mistakes. A Change in one view represents a change in all views. Well done my friend but I must agree with 56ghia although it is a quick overview it is just a tad too fast. Perhaps, at some stage you could make a few videos on the different subjects throughout this video? Just a thought. Cheers, John W.
Hi Nenitecto, thanks for your reply. I now can solve the previous problem but I have another one, hope you can help. I am trying to create the site plan and having problem with it. I don't know how to use the topsuface properly. Can you show me?? Much appriciated.
what's the problem, to start with make sure you set your base to first floor and top of stair to second floor, on the stair properties dialog box. then make sure your risers and threads are correect.. if it still doesnt work, i would need more info, to help you.
great. but too fast) anyway very interesting
