  • Not cool man why in hell's name did you use vista.

  • really cool that the original controller sockets are actually connected to the motherboard. great job

  • OH !!...IT IS REAL....sweet.......m'boutta criiiii aahhh

  • You should call it the UNES! (Ultimate Nintendo Entertainment System)

  • Nice man you are amazing !

  • DUDE! THAT'S EPIC! :D

  • But whats the point on doing this?

Get a slim PC case with a similar (or better) hardware and ur set, emulate everything, and even play blu-ray movies, nes controllers can be plugged in the PC via adapters, but I also don't get why use NES controllers.

The only benefit (if possible) could be having a PC with the NES case.

  • one day someone will make one of those where you can pop in your orginal game carts, hold down start while in windows and the software will start the cart with the nes emulator....That'll be the true upgrade for the nes...That's what I hope for one day :(

  • dude thats badass

  • glovePIE for the mouse?

  • windows 98 fail

  • We love that stuff! Thanks for the video.

  • Nice lol

  • You're a genius.

  • how much it sell for?

  • @mrbrown510 picopsu120

  • check out mine, core 2 duo,4GB 2 HDDS bluetooth wifi HDCP full HD capable.. I got a ton of crap stuffed in mine. I decided to go with the legacy USB controllers (looks like classic but is USB)

  • very nice, if that was my system i would have installed a front end like maximus arcade or something so you could just use the controller to pic the games and systems you want to play

  • @lilkuz2005 too lazy :) it was built to sale

  • I'm looking into building one of these for myself soon; I'm going to sell some of my old consoles and consolidate everything. I did look at logic supply and their Via series mainboards but I'm not sure if I like the 1ghz processor or integrated video. Did you try using a pci video card or just stick to the integrated and if so how did it work out? Also, how did you go about affixing all the parts to the nes case?

  • @HiDeguild go with an atom, via is last weeks news. I used a combo of epoxy, ind strength double sided tape, and I modified the mounts that were already there with a dremmel.

  • @HousePlant87 Thanks for the info. I did end up going with the Atom processor and am quite glad I did. It gets kinda toasty so I cut away some of the vents at the lid and put a small fan there to help with airflow. The atom processor is so powerful it can even play modern 3d games like guild wars and starcraft 2. I ended up using velcro to mount all the devices, and a clipboard as the motherboard mount. Worked flawlessly.

  • if only it played 2 camels in a tiny car...

  • i think its easier to use the wiimote as a classic controler instead of the original, cuz i remeber i couldnt beat the first mario game, but then when i got a wii and hombrew ond got that game, i didnt take to long to beat it

  • Why is there an oblom showing up in the video where the NES is?

  • Shit, almost bought one for 310 with 4gb, 9400 GSM, a 2.2 gHZ core 2 duo, Wifi, retro ports, everything :(

  • i got make the ultimate gaming machine out of that.

  • What's with the dark bar going across the emulation? Can you get emulators that don't have that flaw?

  • That's a side affect of filming an old TV with a low refresh rate. That line doesn't actually appear to the naked eye; in real life it looks perfect. Probably should have mentioned that...

  • @brwnsftblvr Men you are soo stupid read about how a tv works and the difference between you watching it naker eye and threw a camera movie !!!!!

  • @bigmail63

At least I can type coherent english. "Men you are soo"? "naker eye"? "threw a camera movie"?

Maybe you meant to say "Man, you are so" "naked eye" and either "Through a camera" or "from a camera recording"

When calling someone stupid try not to embarrass yourself.

  • Comments like this hurt to read.

  • @brwnsftblvr that's what happens when you film a tv with a low refresh rate, the human eye can't see that

  • you have destroyed the english language in every possible way imaginable

  • lmao

  • What??

  • Learn english. Then post. Thank you.

  • so i c u liek 2 mak nonsence comeentz on pplz chanel. Seriously, if you have a problem, get off YouTube and even the Internet for that matter.

  • Stupid is as stupid does and you does it very well.

  • Wow thats alot of work involved. I just bought me a Dreamcast on Ebay with 6 games,2 controllers, 1 vmu, 1 mem card and 2 rumble packs and a new rf switch. That will have to settle as my emulating machine till I can get experianced enough like you.Plus I can use the Mouse/KB for games like UT, Quake and all the homebrew games like Duke nukem and Doom!

Still tho, a NES PC that plays DC games and everything inbetwixed would be a dream for me!

  • @BFKAnthony817

Why not I mean.. yeah. Okay, graphics may have problems but with the current cpu it should be possible to emulate systems up to nintendo wii / ds / maybe some ps2 (don't really know but I play wii on my core 2 duo laptop)...

  • omg I am doing this and I need help! I got the nes, Gutted it out, and got a hard drive, cd drive, cd and hard drive adapters, and Ram. I need to get a Motherboard and a Power source. Where should I get it. What did you use. Also a Big Question is how to setup wires to turn on the computer with the nes buttons. Please Reply.

  • You got the RAM before the Motherboard? Are you sure it'll be compatible? For my first build I got my MB from Logic Supply, for the second build I eBayed it. Just go with any Intel Atom 330 based mini-itx board that has the outputs you need. For your power supply get a pico PSU 120. Finally, to connect the front buttons and power LED you'll need to first sever the circuit that connects the individual buttons together, just dremel a line in the breadboard between each button. and I'm out of chars

  • OK, next you need to open up the power button mechanism and remove the spring to make it a push and release button (as apposed to a push and hold) then you need to solder wires to the base of each button and LED. I used wires from an old case so they'd be properly labeled and easily connected to the MB.

Let me know if you need help with the NES port wiring diagram; there are several ways of doing it, some better than others.

  • Wait... I think I removed the metal latch, not the spring. It's been a while... It should be pretty obvious once you open it up. Good luck! You can Skype me at HousePlant87 if you need help. But I'll be gone for a couple weeks. Biking From SF to LA!!!

  • So your motherboard was an intel atom 330?

  • Yeah, well a motherboard based on that anyway. I'd recommend avoiding anything Via (like the C7). Also, buy a lot of 40mm silent fans. Good luck

  • @HousePlant87

I recommend using a Atom 330 ION board which can offer a 1,6 ghz dualcore with geforce 9400m onboard.

That's enough for many games, for full hd playback, for osx86, for many emulators etc.

Actually, I'm going to do that, too.. only need those parts & dremel etc. to do it =(

  • I'm jealous of whoever bought this on Ebay

  • I built another MUCH better one to sell on eBay; it has an Intel Atom dual core processor (much faster) and a DVD burner underneath the front slot. I'm about to go on a biking expedition, I'll put it up when I get back in a couple weeks

  • YOU HACKER!! Why are you able to do that if I can't?!

  • lol I can help you out if you need it. Just message me

  • Did you use the original NES motherboard? If not, what did you use?

  • we are thinking about making one of these with ubuntu installed on it.

  • Cool. I had Ubuntu on this one for awhile too.

  • any helpful tips for us? Was it easy to find a small enough motherboard that could handle windows or ubuntu? I imagine you put a fan or two in the back.

  • How much did this one net you?

  • not much, but the next should be better. I'm being much more cost effective and building a much better product.

  • Yep, it has internet access (well, it has both a wired and wireless network adapter anyway). This one already sold but I'm right in the middle of building a much faster and better one right now to sell on eBay. I'll upload new videos in the coming week or two and link to the auction.

  • what motherboard did you put inside the nes? because im planning on doing this i just don't know where to start

  • Use an Intel Atom, it's better than the one I used.

  • does it have internet access? if so i'm going to buy it instead of a reagular computer

  • that thing is awesome i would like to do that in a few years when it won't cost me so much and i don't have to search around for the right motherboard it fit

  • he sold it for $390.00

Impressive. Turning a nearly never used console in to a pc with 15in1 console. NICE!

  • Yeah, how much did it sell for?

  • how much did you sell it for?

  • Cool! You are my guy!

Shit, I wish I had money... (My parents keeping it)

  • Me too, the bidding is really low right now :(

  • How much did you get for it???

  • Hey man! That's freaking sweet! I hope it sells well :)

  • Thanks :)

  • Your welcome :)

  • Nice work, You gave new life to the old NES :)

  • this is cool!

  • I have something so much better....

    a totally modded XBOX!!!

just kidding. man that´s totally cool.

    you´re the man.

you say it´s a pc inside a nes. what motherboard does it have and which processor?

  • This one uses a Via C7

  • ok, ok, i just looked at ur ebay page, its an nes gutted and filled with a motherboerd and hard drive. Thats very original man, nice.

but its still just an emulator and roms...

  • An emulator and roms built into a cool shell that uses the original reset, power, and led light, averages less watts than a lightbulb, and can be easily hooked up to any TV. Yes.

  • And is a fully functioned PC

  • and i got a feeling hes got a mouse in one and a wii remote in the other, ask urself whres the senser bar?

  • Instead of using an official sensor bar I just bought some LED's, a battery case, and a switch from radioshack (Replacement sensor bars cost $20!!). It's sitting to the bottom right of the TV. I used Glovepie to interface with the Wiimote via Bluetooth. If you are really that skeptical you can skype me at HousePlant87 and I'll show you via webcam exactly how it works.

  • this guys full of shit, its an emulator using roms on a computer with a vista os.

  • either homebrew hack

or he crammed a pc in there. oh he did. nice.

  • this is amazing!

    how did you do this???

    is this up for sale

    i neeeed thiss

    write me back asap- hana
