@sirmasterpimp Thanks for the question. The inverter is converting Direct Current into Alternating Current so the home's electrical system can use the electricity. PV systems need an additional battery back-up system connected to a critical loads sub-panel in order to have electricity when the grid is down. This particular system does not have a battery back-up but many of our system owners choose this upgrade.
Is the inverter just acting as a backup power source during blackouts or is it also a grid tie inverter that feeds power back into the grid?
