I bought a Chevelle in the game and only did traction mods, no engine mods. It ran three consistant 8.74 quarter mile times. It was awesome. And i don't know why the announcer guy gets a boner for that "Joe Tackett" guy. He drives a Civic that does like 16 second quarter miles. He sucks!

I still play this game on PC with a couple buddies, have a 69 Camaro that'll run a 5.58 launching in fifth and a 70 Challenger thatll run around 5.95 launching in fifth as well, currently tuning the Camaro concept for a friend, have it at 6.87 atm, trying to squeeze it for what its worth but it is just NOT a drag car in that game.

the only tip i can give you is to sell that car and buy a 240sx... the 240sx you won't have to up grade it to much to beat every drag race in the game...My 240sx had 411hp and I never lost 1 race in the career mode.
