yes these r studio headphone , not really meant for listen to ipods they r meant for mastering . i would say u need a good pair of ear buds for ur i pod lol , but great video !
I'm sorry but this seems like a misrepresented review. These phones weren't meant for iPod or other use. And when you said, "They are better than Bose." Do you mean the whole brand? Because there are better headphones made from Bose, just not in the same price bracket, in my opinion.
And they're not isolation headphones, they're just headphones with a flat-EQ so it represents the true EQ.
For general iPod/mp3 use, you shouldn't spend the money on these. Spend the money on some cheaper phones
@smartdecisions Also, the choice of headphones has almost nothing to do with why the Tenacious D album sounded well mixed. That album sounded well mixed because of the experienced engineers with the talent to mix and master that quality of sound.
And before I get flamed, I own a pair of these, and they are very good quality for nighttime mixing or if you need a different point of view on your mix.

@ 4:58 when you mentioned how some people say wheres the bass. Well studio headphones are not designed to sound enhanced with extra bass or a wider, more crisp sound. Actually their men't to sound raw.
The reason is because when the studio guys go to mix and master songs they want a good representation of what it will sound like, rather than some enhanced headphones that lie on the quality. The more Flat and raw they are the easier it is to get that true sound on devices that play audio.
other than these having pretty long wires would you recommend them for portable use like outside? cuz im ganna be carrying them around and hows the bass is it fine?
@3WadeD3 well with the long cord i rolded up a bit then zip tied to normal length but ya the bass is goo but not too much there great head phones i got mine from guitar center an got a 1yr warenty and u can renew it latter so ya there awesome headphones ther studio guality so everything is nice an crisp and even so ya just be carul when ur outside with them
