just a question how much does a dog box for a datto cost? ive been building up an old 910 bluebird with a worked l20b in it and ive allready blown up 3 boxs in it im wanting to use it for a few motorkahnas and stuff. are they street leagl to have ?
Hi, They cost heaps. Several thousands. Street legal? I guess, but would be better to have an everyday box and slip the dog box in for various events when needed. Contact Pfitzner Performance gearboxes or Albins Engineering. Could also try Modena Engineering.
do you know there is a clutch there>?

Yep.... but there is also a dog synchro gearbox. U dont need a clutch once moving.

try retro-fitting a 5 speed from a later model turbo nissan, check out some forums and find out which ones bolt uo to the L20.....

@mikkars250 , yep good advice, The box in the rally Datsun is from a Silvia, but fitted with a gearset.
