people are going to collage to learn to be a bricklayer! OMG they will do a degree in subway sandwiches next.. my dads been a bricklayer for 33 years and has no qualifications what so ever its not about your collage course it about how you lay the bricks
you don´t just walk into a 700 quid a week job after a three year apprentiship.you have to gain experience and contacts before you´ll be getting that sort of money.
My apologies, I appreciate your comment, mine doe's come over brash, shouldn't have said that.
Here's an oppertunity though for say someone who's missed the apprenticeship boat to learn a trade fast with little outlay, get some ads. in the local paper and away you go.
I wasn't aloud to use the the so called ''Brick's'' tool in College. I got payed off cos of the recession. I am now working in Morrisons as an assistant!
Did u like my video? The labourer made that sand iLolz!
not only that but how can you possibly gauge, i wouldn't take it seriously though it couldn't possibly catch on to serious construction, only doe it your selfers and such would use that.
The hardest part of bricklaying isnt geting your bed right, its getting your corners plumb and range, and maybe have you considerd that the "bricklayer" was probably a cowboy?? theres a reason why this tool isnt used to build houses and buildings why dont you people realise?
Bricklaying is ok! I've been doing it for about 2 and a half years need to sit my skills test in Elgin! Hope ya find an employer mate! Where bouts in the Uk u from?

Lot of people are doing brick laying themselfs, not paying a bricklayer.
I just use me "Bricky" device.Search it out for the video it IS bloody great.
The hard part was getting the mortar right..
Some builders come over from a job over the road,Their bricklayer pointed out my mortar needed more sand.
Three hours l18r the same bricklayer came over and said "That f*k*g thing should NOT BE alound!,don't show the Poles or my Boss"
I like my wall BETTER than his.
The "Bricky's" costing jobs.

Good thing it didnt look that hot that day. i live in western australia so as soon as you lay the mortar you gotta put a brick on straight away haha.

you can`t adjust the mortar too suit you.with more experience you`ll adjust your trowel action to suit the mortars required for the job at hand.
