  • Excellently described. Very impressed with teaching style. Thanks.

  • excuse me at 18:02 after choosing that bright color what do you do to color the whole area selected?

  • @bahamamuah Alt+Del

  • Mmmm

  • sick,

    thanx dude!

  • superb effect, absolutely superb. umm...any chance you can make it into an action? I love the effect but it took me just less than an hour to achieve, on ONE letter....OUCH! I need to spell out STEVIE in neon. But, hey, frikkin awesome tut.thanks

  • 'sober arrow' lol!..dude that was sure a romantic tutorial!

  • I love the neon tube effect. Great job. However, the hole in the wall part is a bit wrong because it looks like the tube was cut off, rather than looking like it is going inside of the holes in the wall. Other than the hole issue, everything looks great!

  • thank you best tutorial neon

  • nice..

  • nerd.

  • I have the same question John150595 has.

    I don't understand what you're doing there.

    Answer please!

  • thanks for sharing this, i need it :D (sorry for my bad inglish, but i'm italian)

  • How do you make the glow??? By 17:57

  • 18:28 who pissed on the wall XD

  • shadows are wrong

  • What do you use to capture your screen?

  • Lol!- 11:45

  • Nice Bro thanks

  • WATCH MY NEW TUTORIAL!!!

    /watch?v=hLiuxDq6e7s&feature=channel_video_title

  • with witch you record this video ?

  • 21minute just to know how to make a letter on a wall

  • Worlds fastest talkers

  • you speak so much 0_o

  • holes were really fail, but on the whole it' very cool! thanks man!

  • You're Awesome man...!!!

  • Add some more "UMF!" into it. 2:19

    :DD

  • You sound like Quentin Tarantino!

  • Harry Potter at the beginning. :)) Like if you saw it. :DD

  • You sound like Charlie Sheen! Did you drink tiger blood to become so good at photoshop??

  • i love ur Tutorials but u r very Slowly =O

  • wow great tutorial ! amazing, patient walk-through, soft voice, no music and most importantly doesn't spam us with subscribe requests ! I'm definitely subscribing.

  • Gay voice at 00:14

But the tutorial was great :)

  • Like it! :)

  • lol, u have shadow of neon on background :/

  • @clubbheads It's possible... some neon shops paint in-between stretches of tube (like what connects one letter to another) black or paint just the backside of the tubes so they don't cast a huge glow on the wall directly behind.

  • dude i cld make this tutorial less than 3 minutes? But great tutorial, just dont need to drag the video so long.

  • @EbilGrunt360 Its good that its long for beginners. As a matter of fact in most of their videos they go 100mph and talk super fast and are in some huge rush. If you're advanced you shouldnt even be watchng this.

  • talented dude. keep it up. respect your work, well done!

  • fuzzified...lol!

  • I like the way your so casual with your word emphasis description like "umph"!

  • These tutorials are great! I've learned a lot on my own just playing with different tools, but having a target to work towards is helping me refine my abilities. I used the techniques in this video to simulate an entire word in neon, with a separate path for the black/covered tube.

  • in this case i want to make an J how y can do it with the pincel!??

  • I can't do this with elements 8

  • @candlelight225 elements is like a qurter of potoshop CS, so you should have bougth CS insted of elements

  • i learnt most of Photoshop just by coping your tricks and tips ... thanks ...

  • awesome but holes kind of suck

  • Good job man like your stile take your time is ok if people don't want wait to learn don't wait stay dumb.

    HELP!

  • @Hazza181 Your GPU probably sucks. ((500GB HDD doesn't matter anyway)). And check your RAM.

  • Why do you always have to make half an hour tutorials?, just make them 'skip to the point' videos instead..

  • excellent tutorial :D

  • wtf he pusht alt+backspace???? wtf?

  • @TheMadelephant Idk I was wondering the same thing..

  • ThaNk You Very Much ! It Helped So Much

  • @mrttou I know, thats most of your day gone right there.

  • @mrttou They can go longer than an hour, I've seen some that are more than three hours. The longest one I've seen was six hours though.

  • @mrttou thanks

  • 21 mins? why? the time limit is 10 mins?

  • O_o why would a neon light cast a shadow?

  • @minxamo All light produces a shadow or glare.

  • Pretty cool

  • the next time.! do it in 3 videos.!

  • Excellent Video ! thanks for taking the time to make it.

  • That's awesome :D The holes look like they should be 3D on here, a if it's a pouch. If you want to follow along with that, just paint little white sections (not too big of course opacity of around 50-60) on the side of the hole and then use the smudge tool and kinda zig-zag it to give it more of a 3D look.

To make it look more like a hole, you should just try to make the colours fade a little more (become darker as it gets to the hole) and give the edges of the hole a smoother look.

  • very awesome video! both this one, and the gear one. I asked for more photoshop tuts and you delivered! awesome! you do a great job man. don't stop, you're helping a lot of people out. hope to see even more in the very near future.

    again, thank you!

  • Hey man.

I am a ninth grader and I have been in a Graphic Design class for a couple weeks and we get to mess around with photoshop. Man, all I do is just follow your tutorials and it helps me so much. Keep up the good work!

  • hey on 19:20 how do u select the three layers?i cant get get it. respond fast.

  • The zigzag is quite useful! thanks!

  • The holes ruin it up lol

  • perfect

    cheers from GER

  • JUST WHAT I NEEDED! (Just when I needed it.) You rock, thanks!

  • holy hell.. How long did it take someone to figure this out? 0_o I applaud the work and effort.

  • OMG Thanku so much....I was just thinking about the same thing when I saw your video uploaded......

  • Thank you sooooooo much! The way you teach makes it so easy to learn and try my own things! :)

  • @cherryr0se Thanks!

    N.

  • Good tutorial and thanks for sharing :)

  • always professional work. thats why i subscribed

  • sorry guys what is the shortcut he's talking at 18:00 on the mac? he's talking too fast at this point

  • @Djiffmaster That is Option + Delete.

    N.

  • This set of tricks is really good, it gets a pretty realistic effect. I woul only say that the drop shadow looks strange as the light in the brackground photo is clearly comming from the other side, so the shadow should be on the right. Again, I'm not so sure a lighted up neon will have a shadow, as it is light itself, and sometimes they do a reflection of themselves on the wall, maybe not this brick wall but a smoother one. Anyway, the drop shadow helps the dimension pop up.

  • @Fancylooks Yea, the beauty of the effect is you can play with shadows and lighting angles depending on your images to make it look as real or fake as you like. It's all up the you.

    N.

  • u can resize your brushes by pressing [ to decrease and ] to increase the size

  • Can anybody tell me how can I resize my brush in a fast way in Photoshop CS3???

I can onlyfind tutorials of how to do this in CS4... alt.+ [ ] or ctrl + alt andclick and drag....

plz somebody tell me hw to do this in photoshop cs3!!

    thanx

  • sxc is experiencing some kind of problem. no one can download pics as of yesterday

  • @DLbeat SXC can be hit-or-miss, but the quality of images for free makes it worth the not-so-great speeds. Of course that is also an issue because of the amount of traffic the site gets. All things considered it's a great site!

    N.

  • @tutvid Don't get me wrong, I love the site. I think it was the "traffic" issue. By the way, I love all you tutorials. Keep up the good work!

  • THIS GUY IS MY HERO

  • Check out my neon tutorial it's ten times easier than this one.

    Nice work!!

  • this guy has a very incredible voice. very cool, yet informative. very american, yet sexy.

hey buddy, i don't know what is most incredible, your neon tube text or that cool american voice u invented.

but did u inventet it, or did u hear other cool guys talk this way and thought... hey, that voice would sound cool on me too!? :)

your neon tube looks like crap btw... it looks 2D!

well, at leas u got that incredible voice style. that is a real seller!

    cheers mate... :))

  • @CT2507 Thanks for the kind words, I'd be nice if you'd explain what I need to do to make my neon look less "crappy".

    N.

  • @tutvid i already told u it looks 2d. cant explain what u must do as i dont work with photoshop. work on the lights and shadings to make it look 3d.

  • when i press fill stroke it just get full of dots

  • @EndreBjorgo I would try going Edit>Fill and choose a color that way. I should know what this issue is, but off the top of my head it's just not coming to me...

    N.

  • very god job!

  • you need to start doing other thing like flash rather than just photoshop, and make sure you get on the CS5 boat as fast as you can, great tutorial anyway

  • @karrotsrkool I'm on the CS5 boat already, but I can't tell you much more than that. I have some other-than-photoshop tutorial lined up to go soon.
