The holy books give supernatural explanations to what we now know are natural events. This was during the infancy of our species when we feared the weather and thought illness was a punishment from God. We were all blind to science and the natural explanations for everything. Your understanding of the big bang theory is incorrect. It does not state something came from nothing. It states that space and time originated as a hot flaming mass condensed into a singular point. Over the course of 45 billion years this mass has been expanding apart from itself, and cooling down. It was not some sudden explosion like your clip.
Also you seem unfamiliar with Einsteins theory of relativity, stating time and space will bend due to the presence of matter in the form of gravity.

The Big Bang theory explains the expansion of a singularity. We have no ways of measuring what happened before the Big Bang, so we just label that the beginning of time in our universe. However, that does not mean that nothing happened before then -- we just don't have a way of measuring it. You obviously need to do some more research on the big bang, namely on account of Stephen Hawking.

Well saying the big bang happened at a certain time isnt really correct, because the theory suggests that time didnt exist until the big bang occured.
I cant explain how the big bang happened. But its not too hard to understand that the earth appearing to sit in a good poistion. If you have trillions of planets, than a large number of planets will be in a 'sweet spot' that could support life.

1 atheists don't have to give an explanation for anything for their own lack of belief,
2 a point of time for the universe beginning does not itself prove the existence of a deity,
3 the big bang is not coincidence because it follows logically from the laws of thermodynamics,
4 just because we don't know what happened before the big band doesn't mean there was nothing before it,
5 atheists can accept or reject individually whatever they choose.

hehe, yeah coz it's mainly based on scientic evidence. The theory of relatively as you know deals with the very large - like how gravity works with plannets and stars and how the fabric of space works. QM on the other hand deals with the very small. The problem we have had is that on thier own they make perfect sense but when u try to combine the 2 theories they dont seem to fit with eachother.
The QM world sais that life is not as straight forward as we think. 1 example being the Atom.........

The Big Bang theory explains the expansion of a singularity. We have no ways of measuring what happened before the Big Bang, so we just label that the beginning of time in our universe. However, that does not mean that nothing happened before then -- we just don't have a way of measuring it. You obviously need to do some more research on the big bang, namely on account of Stephen Hawking.

Ok stopped a video when you start talking what happened before big bang.
There is actualy no way we can measure what happened before big bang, thats why we call it the beggining, cause it is the beggining of our universe.
You didn't study physics enuf m8....
And universe is so complicated that we can not understand it, but we can try to understand. What you do is that you make up a story and blindly believe it is true, because you can't find easy answer. Weakminded fools. Wow good job.

HI. im not really christian, mostly cause the christians dont recognize us as one. the "mormons" haha its really LDS anyway. the only people i bash are athiests. thats all. i dont mind Muslims.

but. if there was no god, and im on earth. the reason im there is because its the only planet that was the right distance from earth. but since god does exist then why would any of that matter any way. (just to keep it short)

we use science to ensure the existence of things, we need evident for everything in order to believe in things. Atheist are not ashamed to call a thing a theory when they don't have enough proof. while Muslims believe in things without proof and that is irrationality.

You make many misunderstandings about science in general. The first is that there are 'proofs' in science. Please refresh your memory of high school mathematics. Particularly the bit where proofs only exist in mathematics. Theories are the best science has the offer, and indeed, are not to be taken lightly. A scientific theory is a well supported body of interconnected statements that explains observations and can be used to make testable predictions.
Please correct yourself for these mistakes.

do you know what a logical tautology is? the earth being "perfectly placed for life" is a logical tautology because we exist. obviously if it was not positioned so as to support life then life would not exist there. it would exist somewhere that it could be supported and those life forms would be wondering at the "coincidence" of their existence. On your other point concerning the big bang "just happening" how is it any less ridiculous to postulate an omnipotent creator "just happening"?
