  • I Agree with @TehAmazingJonathon because its a fact that when playing live on top of the pops your not aloud to play instruments live, check out nirvana playing smells like teen spirt on totp they take the mick out of the fact they are not aloud to play thier instruments live

  • @SlashBECKMike9428 really you can't play instruments live? wow that is really gay.

  • @AdwianWocks Yeah ino :/ nirvana just take the piss outta the fact you cant play instruments live lmao

  • @SlashBECKMike9428 it looked like the bass was playing the guitar parts lol

  • I think this is there best live performance out of the other ones. This one has him the most on key but I wonder why he keeps saying She acts like Ean Like Summer or But Tell Meh. I think that overall takes away from the pefroamcnce.

  • idk about everything else...but the vocals are most definitely live

  • miss my brother so much. RIP Kessler Kaniak

  • miss my brother so much. RIP Kessler Kaniak

  • yeah that's true, their using the backing track and only the singer is live

  • You really don't hear the differences?:D Comeon they are using a backing track, but the piano, the gitars and the drum is life. About the vocals I am not sure...

  • the only thing that's live is vocals and drums. guitar, keys, strings, guitars, piano is all backing track

  • Are you really sure about the guitars? listen once more pls...maybe I've right:)

  • Are you really sure about the guitars? Please listen to the track once more..maybe I'm right..:)

  • well i get my postulation based on the fact that a guitarist started strumming an electric guitar but a bright acoustic guitar sound that sounds curiously like the origional recording started playing

  • he could easily be using an acoustic simulator

  • they can alter the sound on them

  • @TehAmazingJonathan really? how do you know? i thought they were a good live band o.O

  • @retroguy02 Can you really not see that the guitarist is strumming an electric guitar but its an acoustic guitar part? And the music sounds sooo curiously like the studio version. There's no small string pit orchestra out there... and everything just so happens to be absolutely perfectly balanced. It's too perfect to be live. And I've seen Train live, yes they're good occasionally. But I was very disappointed by the 2010 MBL Homerun Derby performance of "Soul Sister" was quite bad.

  • @TehAmazingJonathan

    calling all angels was good.

1 more thing i kinda don't like train as much as 10 years ago in recording such as hey soul sister were autotuned. and when he performs now he sounds whiney his voice was much deeper 10 years ago. and his pitch accuracy was more accurate.

  • i dont think so because he really is a good singerr.

  • just fantastic , great song and really cool !!!;)

  • HOT!!!!

  • Click on my screen name above, UltimateTubeSurfer, it will take you to my profile where I posted a video of Pat Monahan explaining why he wrote the song and what it is about, a must watch....what a great, amazing, fantastic song!!!

  • Never heard of TOTP... is it outside of North America?

  • lol yes it used to be the biggesttt music show in UK...finished now =(

  • Pat Monahan and his band are pretty good together.

  • yeah i agree totally

  • why do all the british shows use backing tracks?

they've even used some of the vocal tracks with the manic street preachers, and their singer is great! i don't get it..

  • it's a shame that they're playing from the master track. The singer is singing, but the instruments are just from their original master track. Much to close to the recording instrumentally, and the drums and guitar drums look odd. agree?

  • True. It's not so hard to play instruments live, come on!

TOTP should let them do that.

  • you seem to be right, but why would the singer be the only one playing live? it's kind of weird. the only guitar you can hear is an acoustic, yet the guitarist is playing a telecaster...

  • well usually artists use some backing tracks, anyway. but i still think you are right about only the singer being live. but who knows the telecaster could be using an acoustic simulator but i doubt it

  • yea maybe but you can hear the srtings in the background

  • electric pianos can do that

  • Oh so poetic and beautiful, just what art is!

  • They sound awesome live, almost better than studio. Train pwns!

  • i don't see Rob, did he quit by now?

  • Rob is on the piano...

  • then who(& where) is the guy usually playing the acoustic with them?

  • They will be playing live, along to a backing track of the strings. Alot of bands do that.

  • its is drops of jupiter but ut also come out in 2001 it was performed on american idol on the episode for songs of the 21st century

  • one of the best rock ballads, but not the half playback thing. . . .

  • you were looking for yourself out there beautiful song from 2001

  • It's called Drops of Jupiter, and it came out 1998.

  • pwnt lol

  • o thats beautiful
