This song reminds me so much of my dad and it's weird because he joined the army in 1964 and lost his leg like the song. He wasn't in the front line. Vietnam was a really pointless war.

wow. I first started discovering stevie wonder's music from mostly 1970's songs in the key of life era, then looked at the stuff from when he was real young(little stevie), and i still have a whole decade to look at with the 80's. just when i thought i had a thourough collection. his anthology is so extensive it's crazy..
I grew up with 80's Stevie and it wasn't until I started digging did I find that he was a start at 12. His For Once In My Life album was for me where he started really coming into his own.
I've been actively studying his work for like 2 years now,[was born in backstreet boys time, not stevie time : ( ] and thanks in large part to your channel i've found lots of stuff I would never find anywhere else, lots of gems that the oldies stations just wont play. just wanted to say thanks for sharing.
@johnniewalker23 I grew up during the golden years of Motown....If you really want to be impressed give a re-listen to his version of "Blowin' In The Wind" from 1966! He nailed it and even Bob Dylan was impressed!
