@jcchurch I'm pretty sure that that is happening because there are fluorescent lights in use. They flicker near the same frequency as the camera's image capture, and you end up seeing the beat frequency. This is why cinematographers use incandescent lights.
What would it look like if you had 10 cards? How would the different stacks split up?
