  • looks like a lovely relationship between horse and rider. I am no expert but all the power seems to be at the front end at the moment. With maturity and sensible training, presumably the muscles develop and you get something more like a "dinner plate" pirouette? Lovely video though - I certainly couldn't train a horse to this level

  • my horse started doing that on a trail to catch up to come horses and they were turning around going LOOK HOW PRETTY! SHES DOING A SPANISH WALK! and i was like A WHAT?!

  • so... spanish walk = strafe?

  • Love to hear he is self-taught...he is a gifted rider and clearly has

a wonderful bond with his horse. Some people are born to ride like this man.

  • I love his mane!

  • wow absaloutly amazzzingg :) good job

  • The cowboy has deep historic roots tracing back to Spain and the earliest settlers of the Americas. The origins of the cowboy tradition come from Spain, beginning with the hacienda system of medieval Spain.

  • Wow that horse is beautiful!

    I love his mane

You are so lucky to own such amazing horses

    Well done training them

  • wow is all i can say, that horse is amazing!!!!! wow how old is he? 5? or did it take 5yrs to train him?? fantastic! in my faves! 5*

  • Gorgous horse!!! LOVE His Mane!

  • beautiful

  • How would you teach your horse to do stuff like this??

  • My horse can do it aswell, I though spanish walk like.. um.. will try to explain ;p you walk in front of your horse and you give him a little tap on his knee with a small whip, NOT HARD! just a tap to get his attention. then he starts to like dig with his leg. then you pull him forward and tap in combination. then he wants to dig but cant cause he has to move forwards. and then you reward him ofcourse with candies ;p

  • how do you teach the horse to do that !?

  • pretty horse and wow!!!!!

  • Nice ! Especially when he's working in hand. That last piaffe was wonderful!

How big would he be? 'Cause he looks really big next to the man ;) ..

  • thats not cowboy stuff...thats english..

  • spanish ;)

  • dressage like stuff (D)

  • bien bien bien!!

  • what a well trained, beautiful horse!

  • Agreed.. I think all the Iberians are beautiful.

  • is that a Andalusian? It's absolutely gorgeouse. I want one sooo bad!!

Kakaowicz, understand your direction, but this isn't Grand Prix - it's alta escuela with a PRE

  • This horse is too young to do Grand Prix dressage figures.

  • Holaa!

  • that horse is doing great. However i dont think its good for the horse to do all these things at such a jong age.

  • I agree. He needs another read or two if you want to work him that hard.

  • Look at the mane! It's so full!

  • Beautiful horse!

  • Fantastic Senor! Gorgeous horse

  • what an amazing horse

  • beautiful, just beautiful

  • One time I was riding my Andalsusian maer and she broke into a spanish walk! At that time I wasn't what was happening though ;P

  • Beautiful horse, just wonder what someone would want to do those advanced movements on a mere 5yo - especially the canter pirouttes. I would be worried about how long this horse would remain sound having had immature bones worked too hard at too young an age. I have spanish horses (PREs) and they mature later than other breeds so I do know what I am talking about - not jealousy either - mine do spanish walk too - must admit this chap is very good in the spanish walk though

  • A little extra stress can be good on growing bones; it forces them to grow stronger and more compact. I don't think this guy is pushing this stallion too hard, he certainly looks like he knows what he's doing and knows when to stop.

  • This is beautiful, amazing work for anyone. How does one learn but by practicing? Don't bash people for things that you yourself know you can't do. :P Jealousy is an ugly thing. ;)

Beautiful! The time and energy invested is evident in every move. ^^

  • A reminder to the recent viewers who haven't read the story: This is a 55 year old postman, an amateur self-taught rider who loves his horses. He will never compete. He is not trying to impress anyone. He enjoys the art and his beautiful horse.

  • The horse is beautifull but the rider cant sit in trot and slams onto the horses back-beauty and brill if the horse got a great rider with a hat lol

  • is that horse enjoying itself? it better be

  • this r fat horses

  • The canter pirouettes are terrible but some other stuff was fairly decent. This horse lacks rhythm though. It needs some more basic training before it does so much advanced movements...

    beautiful horse though.

  • da is amazinnn .. i want my horse to da spanish walk!!

  • Soo nice! ^^ How do you teach your horse walk like that? :O..

  • Awosome! Congrats!

  • such beautiful horses and such great work.

  • Hola , esta este caballo en venta????

    Jaime. 00491772167276

  • Good demonstration.

  • gorgeous horse :D

    xx

  • Whoa! thats such a BEAUTIFUL horse!!! i love how thw main is soo long i lOVE it!

Gracias

  • Asi es, de andalucia

  • Not bad horse but the rider is really poor, very bad

  • How could he stand up to such a magificent mount? Your detailed comments, please. We can all improve from this.

  • I agree that the rider seems poor to me, however i have a feeling this is one of the few people who can look badly yet the horse still goes well, unlike the rest of us!

To me, he seems top heavy, does not sit and take weight in the saddle, and rein aids are given abruptly, exaggerated, and rough.

That said.... the horse is going very correctly as far as I can see, so I can't say too much. :)

  • That horse is amaizing!!

I love the long mane and tail, they look mush better this way that when all the hair in mane and tail are compleatly shaved.

Gracias

  • WOW! im in love! that is one incredible horse! I would give absolutely anyhitng to be able to train a horse to that standard

  • truely inspirational....lovely horse and awesome rider.

  • Hats off to you sir. Wonderful

  • Not only do you have a beautiful horse, but he seems to have a very calm, sweet disposition. I think I am in love. He is simply gorgeous, and I was impressed with how 'in tune' he seemed with you. You have done an excellent job with him. Congratulations.

  • you have an amazing horse! i wish mine could do the same:( he is beautiful!!!!

  • look at that main, lovely horse

  • that is absolutely amazing!

  • very cute

  • Beautiful horse... fantastic.
