Ty, Alex. Reminds me of the thrills and the horrors of falling in love with a narcissist Harley rider....*sighs* I was all cool with it til he brought home "Traci" for a "threesome"... O.O
Something magic about the music of 1978...There were so many good tunes that year besides this one...remember "How much I feel" (Ambrosia), "The groove line"
(Heatwave), any song from Billy Joel's "The Stranger" album, "reminiscing" (Little River Band), "bluer than blue" (Robert Johnson), Grease, "Le Freak" (Chic)...etc.
I watch and watch this video over and over. The sound is great. An incredible version of one of the finest ROCK song ever. "If you wanna cry to somebody, don´t cry tome" Jock´s voice WOW
This is wonderful! And yes, memories.... I was a teenager working @ a restaraunt in Wilkes-Barre, PA. A man comes to the register, he has a tag around his neck: Firefall Crew. I just found out that I was off work early, he gave me 2 backstage passes. Great concert! I didn't know how to get backstage (too bad!) but when the crew was breaking down the stage, I found the guy and he invited me to the band's party at their hotel. Couldn't go, had to have parents car home by 11! No groupie that nite!
I remember seeing the original band/line-up at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Fla. They were headlining w/ Heart, also the original band - There was a delemma as to which band should open and which should be the main act-, I believe these guys ended up opening . Both bands were great and out of many shows i saw at this crazy venue this was prob the best, & I saw Boston's 1st tour, Van Halen/BTO,Journey,Billy Joel, Clapton, & others..
sometimes the breaks or endings are more or just as important as the rest - I was thinking about this song tonight - took me a while to think of the title
@MattyMcCritic The studio version has been posted a few times on here...including the extended one that has the sped up flute part right before the end....but they don't seem to stay on here long. I don't really know why.
aww man that kinda sux....I heard this on the radio the other day and this one doesnt match it very good but it is the same song i heard and better then no song at all lol
Yes,awesome song, and yes U-tube is run by effin sheep humping inbreds.always pulling the best versions of every song, together witn that bmg or whoever the fuck those goat sodomising folks are.Its just music you corporate hillbillies !!!!!!
the original studieo recording was the best the flute, this was firefalls best song, thats a strange way to tell me that you love, when your soul is all that i can if ya just wanna cry to somebody dont cry to me!!!!!!!! tlf
This reminds me of my 8th grade days in the late 70s on the school bus and NOT wanting to go school..... wow, still get butterflies thinking about that....
I don't think it was the camera's fault, and what's so crappy about Sony's? The camera person just couldn't keep it still. But anyway, I happened to run across this and watched it, 'cause I used to like the song, and, shit, this is an incredible live performance!! The guitarist is really impressive, his tone is gorgeous. I didn't know these guys were this good, and I was right, it is a beautiful song. That's definitely a keeper. The bass player looks the same ( from Spirit, right?) No more lette
After watching a different version of this song, I figured out that , apparently, the guitarist's fantastic solo here was just covering for the missing flautist, by playing the fucking flute solo note for note I feel so stupid, but I did really dig that great guitar part, so it's still a keeper, I guess. I wish I didn't find the other version. I was gonna try to find the album, too, but it's just gonna have a big Ian Anderson rip-off in the middle. FUCK!
They still perform this quite well, one of the most underrated classic rock songs of all time. this song gets in your soul, great post thnx alot.....dont cry to me..
