Loom Knit Lab: Working with Pleated Style Yarn

i can't post on the ruffle style yarn tutorial. I bought the red heart sashay yarn that looks exactly like the ruffle yarn, but when I try to move the yarn to the other side of the peg, it won't stretch and makes moving so hard. Am I using the right yarn because my yarn is not elastic.

1 skein will make one scarf. If you make it wider than the 8 pegs, let's say 12, I would suggest getting two skeins.
