you are always bringing up looks. johnny cash is old and wrinkly, he was also a legend. bieber will last another couple years. nobody even knows who kanye west is anymore, britney spears is currently passed out drunk behind a worn down bar. hell, i cant even spell madona right.
@TheDoctorV2point0 Hey, I hear you, but the truth is that "beauty" sells! Even Johnny Cash was pretty once! (Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all!) Maybe I just blame those other things because I never had the courage to sacrifice everything for singing. I never had that belief. When I was growing up you had to get a "proper" job, so that's what I did. I tinkered, but I never believed.
Why is it a shame you are from Belgium? Don't you like it there? lol
Actually, of all the people who have heard my songs, very few are interested. I'm glad you like them, but you are part of a very select club. I won't be a professional musician. I'm fifty years old and have hardly sung in public. I'll leave all of that for the talented people who are also young and good looking. Nice to talk with you.
Amazing song. I can't believe what happened to fileman. No, really. I honestly can't believe it. YouTube is really taking things too far now. I'm -thisclose- to giving up on this site for good. Pathetic.
Artists and record companies that sue people that bought their content are hypocritical bastards that keep biting the very hand that feeds them, they will regret it one day, because the music listening community is resorting more and more to free artists like our friend Peri here, who makes quality music just the pleasure and not to gain money. Excellent song as always Peri, love your work, keep it up.
Peri, You deserve far more than a beer. For starters, I think you deserve to have a hit single with "Change One Thing". Then you can invite us all over and give us the free beer and spend the rest of your days writing music for all to enjoy. :)
I beg to differ with you. Yes, I think some go overboard to sue a fan who is not gaining any monetary value by covering a song. It really is a compliment to that artist. But to say you will resort to "free" artists is another story. If you want music to be free how can quality artists totally commit to a life of making music? How many songs that may have touched you deeply will remain unwritten because the artist is spending his time struggling to make ends meet? (continued below)
(cont. response to rurikhan) Think of what you do for a living. What if everyone expected your services for free? And if your services weren't free they found others who would do it and those in your profession would no longer be compensated. Do you think you would be able to continue to do your work even if you loved it? How would you support yourself & your family?
As always Peri, a real pleasure to listen to you sing and play. After years of not having a twelve string, I'm inspired :-) Payday, so I'm off to buy one in a couple of hours!

Don't look now, but YouTube has started supporting stereo sound!
There's also a higher resolution supported. Sneaky updates!
SirEuchre 4 years ago
Slight revision: It seems Partners can get such support, my latest upload didn't retain the larger size or stereo.
Accounts are not created equal, of course.
Gotta love YouTube.
