  • Pure music from a 275 or 300 in those days.

  • @etihwtaerg---Pretty simple matter of taking out the 2 stick set up it had in 57, putting in a 13 speed that of course is one stick. The "DUEL" truck was a 55 Pete, had a 5 and 3 originally, as well as having a "275" originally, but when I drove it in 1970, it had been updated to a 13 speed and Cat motor.

  • Supercharger!!! one of the best sounding Trucks

  • My Uncle has a 86 freight liner!

And man do the Jake brakes sound like a rocket taking off :P

btw its a cabover and it is so fun to ride in!

  • How is the 75 Peterbilt with the 12v71 coming along? Is it still apart?

  • @bj99ful oh yeah it's still apart, i dont see it running anytime soon

  • I'm not normally a fan of straight pipe as I don't like a lot of noise while I'm driving but I have to admit that this is a sound that I could certainly get used to and even enjoy.

  • @bj99ful Yeah it's a sound you can't pass up. It's a sound with listening to, plus you don't have the turbo screaming drowning out your hearing too lol.

  • Hey cant you read the NO RIDERS sticker on the right windshield ..... J/K Kerby

  • I wonder if that dash fan still works after all these years, especially if it's original to the truck.

  • @dragonpullman23 You bet it works

  • awesome rig love to see it from the outside view!

  • Oh Boy!

  • hey i know what truck this is..... it was in another one or your videos.... the video was called "worlds best sounding cummins motor" thats a sweet truck..... if i remember right it has a 300 hp cummins in it and a single 5 inch straight pipe... message me back Hotrodx199.... love your videos... and i love your 65' freightliner.. its nice too see some of the old iron still out there working on the road.. instead of rotting away in the weeds.... i buy em from people just too save em

  • @85forddiesel Yeah this is the same truck. I drove it too! Kinda a neat setup, it only gets used to tow an RV trailer around for shows, but that's still okay! Even if it doesnt pull loads anymore, it's still old iron alive and running!

  • I'm normally a fan of the Detroit 2 strokes but there's something about the sound of this one that fascinates me too. Is it an old Cummins straight pipe?

  • Love the older rigs...

  • Nice Can You Post More Of The Older Trucks.
