I know academia would disagree with me, and finds cadence in words and calls it poetry, as melodic as a song, but it really is just eloquent, artistic prose. It's mislabeled. It only looks like poetry at first glance because it's broken up into lines like a poem and has similar length.
Not a poem. You can put all those lines into a paragraph, and it would be the same thing. At least, that's what I suspect from my limited POV.
