great device, I say you buy it BUT you need to ABSOLUTELY upgrade to android 2.2

that makes it so much better. Also battery life isn't too long on this device but other than that...a definite buy!!

Dell will get my money the moment they put Android 2.2 on it. It's so ridiculous to have it running 1.6. It's lack of flash support gives it the same significant handicap as everything apple puts out. Come on Dell, you've been promising us 2.2 for how long now? do it and you might sell some of these things (to me for one - I'm sick of my iphone)

@snoopyalien24 yep u do need a sim card to do so.make sure ur provider supports it.in the uk i think it's only O2 or Orange-not really sure-that carries it

I think it is cool! Yep it's a big hunker phone and a small tid bit of a tablet, but Dell legitimizes this device for business with their name. All Android tablets should get on their knees and thank Apple for opening up this market and defining what features will and won't sell. So many people don't get it where innovation is concerned. Some of the apprehension was that Apple marketed iPad as a media consumption device. What Dell does is give business a reason to buy tablets.

Actually it was Xerox that first used the mouse in any capacity having hired the mechanic that helped the original inventor actually build the first mouse. That was about 20 years before Steve Jobs AND Bill Gates took a trip through their labs and saw the Mouse and GUI being used. After this day, Steve Jobs asked that same Bill Gates to create the original OS for the MAC because Gates writes code and Jobs is apparently just good at telling people what to do.

@jdmcclintic Actually Microsoft was involved with Visicalc, not the OS. The OS was all Steve Jobs Mac Team. Read the book "The Journey is the Reward" for the real 411 on early Apple and what a character Jobs was. And still is. Ur right about the Xerox "Park" project which was the first windows GUI.  Jobs took it with Xerox's permission and Gates said it would never work. So later Gates stole from Apple not Xerox (Park was dead by that time).

@times9 iphone 4 definitely. try it yourself. more than 200 000 apps to choose from, a very strong hardware and an unmatched software, with great support. it is a really "future-proof" device (as all apple products are). just think about that it is one sole company that designs the phone along with all it consists of and the software as well. it is built to work well.

@times9 yes, no flash. it was apple who first used and shipped the mouse. how often we use it now? it was them first who shipped a personal computer, the iMac, without a floppy drive. do we use floppy discs nowadays? usb? firewire? webkit? apple is reliable.
