I expect when the words "The country is under attack" that the Secret Service would do their job and expediently remove the President (of the most powerful country in the world) to a "secured location". I don't think a school is considered a secured location is it? To me, when you don't want to draw attention to yourself (such as being the leader of a terrorist attack) you continue on your day like nothing is happening.

The first responders had to do their job (with courage and honor, of course), and data has to be gathered before a Federal government can react and take appropriate measures. He knew that he would have to deal with the crisis, but he also had a responsibility to be a leader to those kids, which is exactly what he did.

I'm shocked how unintelligent these comments are. George Bush wasn't an idiot or moron. He just wasn't the best public speaker. There are a lot of people out there that have never spoke in front of an audience for a length of time. And I'm sure if you have, then you know that sometimes words get screwed up.

It's not only that he was a bad public speaker...He also bankrupted every company he owned (which his Dad got for him) The only reason he was even president is because of his father. He is a moron and has left the country in the worst state it's been in in decades.

Number 1: Research and see what Obama was doing during this last terrorist attack. I won't tell you, but he didn't give the issue his full attention. If you don't know, you'll be enlightened. Bush didn't do any harm by staying a few extra minutes in a classroom. Emergency procedures were being followed below him like they were supposed to. Generals and other administrators are given powers and they know what is to be done. We weren't going into a war without a plan and some analysis.
