The UK version is a bit teckless, they have them in all sorts of injury traps. I've never seen so many injuries. I guess they don't sue as much there cause the show is careless. I like the calm attitudes, but there are times it seems a little too much emotional S & M. Its like there they are we can do anything we want to them they deserve it, you couldn't get away with that in the US, maybe because there is a lot more obese people. Like going down a snowey hill 6 at a time, ya right law suit
This program has more replays, and replays, replays and replays of replays of replays and replays of replays
How many replays of replays does it take to make a replay of a replay -- a replay of a replay which makes a 30 minute program of replays??
Face it! Any IDIOT can make a three minute TV program then replay it ten times and generate a 30 min program! Just think! if you repeat enough repeats repeats, you could generate a two hour documentary!!
I agree. I commented on the constant replays of people's back stories but the replays of what's already happened are annoying, too. This is a DAILY show for frog's sake! If people can't remember what happened from 5 minutes ago to as far back as yesterday, they stick to radio.
I'll get through this season quickly because there's a lot to fast forward through.
The extra workout should be looked at as a bonus and not a punishment. Trainers cost a mint in the real world and I'd hope that contestants are taking mental notes about the sessions so that they'll continue the workouts after the show.
Angie is not a very good trainer in my opinion. All she does is rag on the people with no positive feedback at all. She shows no compassion at all. Look how Jillian Micheals trains. She it tougher than this Angie chick but she knows when to push and when not to push and how to get to the root problem of the peoples issues.
I bet every person that leaves the show after being trained by Angie puts the weight back on.
I dont agree. ANgie is tough but people like that need someone tough. theyve been pandered to their whole life hence theyve ended up in the state they are in. And now in the final week, ANgie has far better results (ie 4 people left, not 2, and the last 2 challenges and biggest losers). Angie rocks!!! Id love her as a trainer!!!
Jillian and Michelle also get results, though. And no one is terrified of them even though they are at times intimidating but they seem to commit more in terms of unravelling the problems behind unhealthy eating habits. It's never only about food there are emotional and psychological issues attached
I wondered that too. I guess they're paring down the format a bit. (They've left out some...ok, quite a few...of the extras we're used to from other versions.)
When Raz and Lisa left I was half waiting for their lights to be turned off! :D
More result for less money. And it's not USA and Australia, here we don't have a much people watching that.
So it's much different from what we used to.
A lot of excersizes outside, that's great, as it's shows that you don't really need a gym to excersize, but I still don't understand how they know how much calories they burning and eating. Especcially all that stuff with BMR and staff. AS I understand that when you go out you need to be able to continue.
In the U.S. version the contestants wear this thing called a Bodybugg on their upper arms. You can wear it all day, then download the info to your computer. You can figure out exactly what your BMR is, and how many calories above that you are burning a day. It would cost about $500US to outfit each contestant with that system, and I assume it won't fit into the UK budget. It's a very useful tool, but then they can lose weight without it also.
You can buy bodybugg from Biggest Loser USA, ok international shipping in not possible, but if they would look it's about 350$, ok even if not. I think Australian ones were wearing Hart rate monitors, I have one myself. Healps a lot. And there a lot of good ones and it's costs me Polar Diamont about 60 pounds.
The show only lasts 8 weeks and there's only going to be a month between them leaving and the finale, so I guess they are 'saving' the transformations until the end as they are likely going to be much less dramatic than the ones we are used to from the USA and Aus versions.
But it's may, and they were filming in winter, so I thinks it's more then 8 weeks, and I think they will go singles soon, as like only one coulpe fell belowe the yellow line and 1 goes.
Filming lasted for 8 weeks between late Jan and late March. Its my understanding there will be no 'singles' or returning contestants, it't just going to be a straight one couple is eliminated each week competition with the finale airing in mid June, around 8 weeks after they have left the house.
RIP angie

Not the Walk again. I hated it in the Aussie version. Different name, same concept and I still don't like it

Is it me or do the UK contestants seem much less motivated to work (read suffer) than the US/AU contestants..?
maybe its the low prize money

Lame. Such drama over an itty-bitty little choice that's actually a positive for whoever they choose.

Why they don't show "Where they are now"?
