@Matthew9447 A helicopter that fast could outrun a stinger, not to mention any special countermeasures the Airwolf heli could have.

@Agent1W It is litterally impossible for a helicopter to travel that fast, because of its blades it creates friction and it actuall depends on its blades to stay in the air, and to go faster it tilts foward and changes the angle of the blades, and i really dont want to go into those boring talk, so lets say helicopters CANNOT travel as fast at a stinger.

yeah in beginning i didin't feel it but the song actually goes really wqell with the speed the chopper was gooing at, and did really well in the to snare a wolf part.

hey that was the 80's and most ppl didnt have a clue how hele's worked back then lol, tho to be fair in the first episode the tryd to say it had a lift genarating body o.O and the rotors were disengaged over a sertan speed lol

hey it is possible for it to have a lift generating body the f-15's body produces 15% of its lift. Theoretically the rotors could avoid blade stall by just going fast enough to hold the chopper in the air and the jets propel it.

i gotta say i always hated that scene at 4:20

the guys who did the epsidoe put them 2 RC models way to close together

the lads rotors are almost taking out airwolfs windows, the prop wash would of sent them spinning off away from each other to, then airwolf just spins on the spot, wich clearly would of ripped the other helis front end off

how the director passed that shot ile never no LOL

bers no reflection on your work though, as thats their goof up, not yours :)

Wraith, that shot in 'NATURAL BORN' was actually the full-size choppers, not RCs. It was shot with a long lens in close-up which gives a shallow depth-of-field. In reality Airwolf and the Hughes 500 were a safe distance apart (sideways) allowing Davy Jones to swing The Lady's tail around like that.

Yup, for proof, look at the first couple of frames from 4:19; you can see Davy Jones looking to the right out Airwolf's side window and then back to the front again.

i think most memerable scene for me (besies the typical dune rise) is when they both fly under the heli, that red & white hueghs 500 & airwolf litraly filmed from above, ep were they ditch that woman from the heli into the lake

Actually, you're right on this occasion as David Jones (although he flew in Hawke's seat often) was on the ground during this shoot... as he was the one who ran down the hill first to the crashed Huey to get the pilot, Mahler out of the burning aircraft but couldn't get to stuntman, Reid Rondell (who lost his life in this episode) in time. It was McKernan Snr in The Lady on that first day.
