  • It sounds great except that with the elimination of alerts for the same spots might eliminate regular places that the police sit too, because there are many times they have favorite regular places to sit.

  • On the V1, put the radar in Logic mode and boom no false alarms.

  • The database is continually being updated, which accounts for its commendable accuracy. In our 18-month test of the Escort Defender database and competitors, it ranked first.

  • does that database get updated? In the past few years they have just started to introduce speed cams to my city...

  • very nice info!

  • problem is- it still goes beep--- you still left guessing-- no excusei have owned both 8500 x50 a 9500i and a 9500ix--- and 2 v1s, vs. 3.789, and 3.872 --- v1 has way better range and when it goes beep your not left guessing-- in fog thats a make or break deal-- escort is a great brand-- imo Valentine one is better

  • exceptional video production!

  • ...PLACES ORDER O_O

  • I own an 8500 X50 and its saved me so much money!

  • Escort def has the best radars

  • Now that is nice! Always have had a huge interest in the Escorts, going to show my friends this video, especially the ones that have V1's, this is awesome

  • gps would be dissabled

  • mmm.. so it locks it out after 3 times... so what if i cop sits in the same place... 3 times in a row? or you drive passed the same place... 3 times... lol... where i'm at most of the cops use the same locations for speed traps.

  • If your local cops routinely park underneath the door opener--not on the street--and use the same radar gun each time, there's a chance the Escort will ignore it. But they're probably more conventional and run radar on the roadway instead. Also, you'd likely have noticed them had you tripped over a marked cruiser blocking your entry to Walmart.

  • Just wait until a LEO is sitting at your local CVS with a K band radar gun.

  • @protias The chance that it is the same frequency is so unlikely.

  • @durand001 It has been documented several times this has happened. I've seen once where a cop was using C/O K band and another guy had his 9500ix lockout a door and continued to lock out the real frequency.
