That was very helpful.

I actually chroma without a green screen by putting myself inside of an object (box, circle, etc.) to make the chroma effect so much easier to work with.

I have a small portion of my wall covered with the green paper.

I might have to do a video on my filming technique sometime soon.

Great tips, for the moment I'll just video normally but as I am thinking of investing in a more expensive webcam, why not do the lot together.

Thanks for posting this Izzy, I shall watch this a few times. I believe Green screens not too expensive and you can make your own out of cloth as I said have a green poker cloth which I could hang up behind me.

My green screen is a plain double sized bed sheet dyed lime green and pinned to the wall!

goto a crafts store where they sell cloth or fabric, where i live it's about 5 USD for a piece about 12 feet long by about 5 feet wide. Ask for "True Green" that's supposed to be the color that works the best besides blue. They use Green and Blue cause these 2 colors dont clash with our skin or have any colors related to skin color in it!

well i have found this good too hun ty, i have always had issues with the lighting and yet spent loads of money on lights and software and still dont use it to itss 100% ability lol

get soft lights... put them 2 feet or 3 from the green screen on both sides. make sure u sit infront of the lights that JUST ARE FOR LIGHTING THE SCREEN, get a light or 2 for just you. i prefer SOFT bulbs.another tip. PUT 2 CHROMA key settings into your video! gets it closer without screwing you up. the color for the screen should be TRUE GREEN! the key to good chroma keying is LIGHTING the screen.

NP. I have adobe so im not fimiliar with sony but there also should be a setting to make the edge fading lesser. Lets say your chrom is at like 25% add 2 chromas and make 1 at 15% and the other a lil higher, and it will take the edging away and make it softer without giving you the pixels around your arm. also if they have a after effect for sony id ivnest in that as well. cause that takes the lil green shadow and has a tool to blend the shadow color taking away the small hint of green around u.

one more thing! ALWAYS KEEP THE CAMERA ON MANUAL, or it will make u go mad. The camera on auto changes the green color in Auto setting, and make the white balance adjust becoming a huge pain in the (_|_)

ahhh ok. Yeah see im not to smart with Sony! Tinker with the settings till you find it perfect then... Make it a preset, so next time you don't need to reset the chroma again. All you do is drop the preset on the movie, and pow it should take the background out. Aslong as you dont switch the lighting too much then i suggest to make a chroma keying you like or that works the best for u, and just set it as your preset!

I see, no not got that function in vegas, I kinder get on great with it just trying to help twish, i find light ok at times but not that important unless you tring to create certain light effects for where the sun maybe etc, I have a light but only use it if a really dull day.. I use a lime green sheet, which works fine :) thanks for helping twish in adobe i don't use it myself

also blur edge slightly in the keyer, there is also a croma blur in vegas i dont use it but its there to under keyer
