It's shameful Harrison didn't get his fair share, He as well as the other Beatles deserved 15%, what I wonder is, 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 = 60, so if it was a just world The Beatles would have 60% of the company, but in reality it's 45.8, What I wonder is who owned the other 54.5? Maybe Brian Epstein or George Martin, guess I'll never know. :-/
"I just wrote it like that "and "I just wrote them myself" and "Because I sing it my self" becomes the more collaborative 'We' on the released version. 'Northern Songs" published all the Beatles music, but they were all ripped off by the publisher, so I guess the 'We' was more fitting as it wasn't only George who got sold down the river.
So harrison got 100% of royalty on this song? 'Well what I mean is did he get what he was supposed to get? Because he did most of the music for it,'' and he told the guys what to play right?
If it was one of the later songs, it was possible it's published by Harrisongs, a company set up specifically by Harrison, which owns songs like 'Here Comes the Sun' and 'Something'.
Can you spell "To much acid during the 60's"? The first correct answer wins a all expense paid trip to where ever George was when he wrote this. Mind altering substances not included!
oh yeah, on both songs of george on the yellow submarine album ringos drumming is superb and the organ is a great addition, such a great chilled out organ sound.
@beatlesecw It totally gives me goose bumps have you heard hey jude from LOVE?
the midsection bass solo? OMG that has some primo innovative bass lines i totally look at
mccartney bass skills as top notch i loved his bass licks on paperback writer and rain when he broke out the rickenbacher for the first time and im suprised he didnt use that bass during the final 66 world tour that would of been awsome
im gonna join in the conversation haha a little late but yeah haha i prefer the anotholgy version better too haha when i heard the album version...13 years later haha i was confused cause the words were different lol and i dont like the background brass instruments lol
i feel like this song has a certain meaning sublimnally ofcourse, love this song!

Within You Without You should have been on Magical Mystery tour, and this should have been on Sgt. Peppers.

I'd gladly replace "Within You Without you" on "Sgt Pepper" with this. See? We just made "Sgt Pepper" flawless.
Powerstars321 6 months ago
@Powerstars321 by doing that you also insulted some of George Harrison's work
Atari2600Gamer 4 months ago
@Atari2600Gamer I can see how I'm doing that, Within you Without you is good, it just goes a bit too long for my tastes.

this song nearly made it on to SGT PEPPER.

@sgsmith1616 Would you really consider it a song though?
MrHi0000 9 months ago
@sgsmith1616 John called it a sound collage. And when George was questioned about what his thoughts on it were he said, "Avant Garde a clue."

just one little tip - it's "or how i fare". great video, though! very beatlesesque :D

@2020man996 when the song was recorded to Epstein was dead, and Martin was just a music producer, received a salary from EMI

This version of the song suffers from the lack of horns, but otherwise, I like the vocals better in this one.
