You can tell that even the band members respected Alts and enjoyed performing with him. At Grand Final night when you see them congratulating him....I have never seen that before. Everyone started to favourize him....even Luke the host! All the celebs - guest appearances and in the audience fell in love with him. They are not stupid. They know talent when they see it.

I just downloaded & listened to Altiyans album released today, I didn't realise it was a studio recording? should have been the live performances, sadly it lacks the passion & emotion of the live shows with the audience enthusiasm, participation & love for him, still sounds good, well done AC, however it's just a cover album, so why bother? I have U2, Bon Jovi, INXS, Kings of Leon, Train, etc etc, anyway, just thinking out loud, I look forward to an "original" album in 2011 :)

Love Altiyan and I'm so glad he won. I voted for him every week. The man is a genius. So quiet and unassuming off stage but wow when he's on stage, he's huge! He has it all, the look, the voice and massive stage presence. I can't take my eyes off him when he's performing. He deserved this win so much. Love his single and can't wait for his first album. Really hope he tours the country at some stage and that he doesn't forget about Tassie, we're part of Australia too. You are world class Altiyan.

Very big dissapointment that Altiyan won. I Believe that he won because he was looking for sympathy votes. The camera was always on his face and he would do his little crying act.

Yes he does have some talent. But Sally has what it takes, she has the ultimate voice. She can sing any sort of style.

Where as Altiyan has a limited style, dont worry sally fans he wont be around after a year. The runner up always hits it bigger than the winner. Like anthony callea did.

Sal bored me with her last performance of that Queen song. The first time she did it, I couldn't keep my eyes off her. But the second time, there just didn't seem to be enough energy to go with the song. She basically just stood there! That song needs energy and she didn't deliever. Australia voted right. Altiyan has the whole package.

@CEDARWINDOWS Sally has a great voice. The only problem with her delivery is she did not perform. She lacked energy. She mostly stood in the one place. She did not entertain. It comes with experience. Altiyan delivered in spades. He connected with the audience, he performed a show with each song. Some people called him a drama queen. But Michael Hutchence was a bigger dramatist, but that is what made him unique and what defined him. Check out Jim Morrision's on-stage antics.

Well said OmnishowOfficial - Technicality is not all the X factor, watching Altiyan performance is so enjoyable - he connects well with the audience. As an ordinary audience with no musical background (but I do love singing), I just ENJOY what I LIKE! Ronan has given him great song choice so far. I love his stage delivery it reminds me a bit of Rolling Stone, Bon Jovi, Van Helen etc.
