This movie has a very powerful message. Althought Jeremy isn't real (unfortunately for the litle girl freacls mentioned about) the drama he goes through certainly is. Ask bassecly anyone who is different and suffers for it: black people, people with malformations, real albinos.......... The song fits it perfectly: what do they have to do to earn their kind's respect?!

I liked this movie alot. I'd not put an overly spiritual twist on it, I don't think that it warrents that. I don't want to be preachy, but your copie of the Bible has enough real spiritual direction, pick it up it's a good read. It's ok, it won't bite you.

Powder is one of my favourite movies, ever. One that just fills me up with emotion, one that I wish everyone would see, and truly understand.

Many times in the movie, I can't help crying, as he faces a world that simply can't (or in some cases, won't) accept who and what he is.

The tender touch (1:35-2:00 in this vid) man, that just gets me every time. Human contact, a simple touch. How we all take it for granted... but it was so much more to him.

...such a powerful movie.
