  • "If You Could See Her" is so cute.

And then you get to the end and it has meaning. Such a great musical.

  • When I went to see the version with Samantha Barks in they had someone dressed up as a pig rather than a gorilla

  • the 1998 revival is seriously the best version, it feels the most real, and believable, which makes it all the more devastating.

  • the best starts on 1:07 !!

  • I love "If You Could See her" - of course it's horrible with the 'she wouldn't look jewish at all' ending, but I love the song.

  • the brick through the window scared the living shit out of me!

  • If I were the last person to defend the world from Aliens and they gave me Alan Cumming...

    we'd be totallt f*cked

  • I am seriously in love with Alan Cumming's voice

  • i havnt seen this befor could some one tell me who he singing about?

  • one of the Kit Kat girls dressed as a gorilla

  • oh thankyou^^

  • I went to see it yesterday, he's singing about Fraulein Schneider.

  • @TheSoulMan8 - I'll also add a gorilla in a tutu in many productions :D

  • the movie is set during WWII and the cabaret performs acts that is symbolic to wat is going on politically and things like that...

the gorilla (i think) symbolizes a jew woman and the song pretty much says it all.

its a great movie watch it sometime

  • haha i actually watched the movie like a month ago now i understand but on the soundtrack i have they changed it to meeskite(ugly) at the end of the song when he says "she wouldnt look jewish at all" (also i love joel grey as a girl when hes dancing on stage)

  • oh did u like it? lol

  • yes, i thought it was hilarious plus the music was great. have you ever noticed how many musicals are about natzis? wern't liza minelli and joel grey in the origanal chicago together?

  • i pretty sure liza minelli was not originally in chicago ..im really not sure...google it lol ;D

  • Both not; Joel Grey was in the original Cabaret though. This is the 1998 revival, by the way, not the movie.

  • i know its the revival,,,

  • No, Chita Rivera and Gwen Verdon were in Chicago, I doubt if Amous was Joel Grey...?

  • There are hardly any musicals that even mention nazis.

Cabaret, The sound of music, & the producers are the only 3 I've ever heard of - and Cabaret & The sound of music are based on true stories.

Neither liza minelli or joel grey were in chicago.

  • Joel Grey played Amos in the 90s revival of Chicago

  • @skullyj2002 Liza Minelli appeared in Chicago

  • @skullyj2002 actually joel grey did play Amos in chicago just not in the movie

  • Actually, the play/movie took place in 1931during the Weimar Republic. It was the pre-war period, before the full rise of Hitler in Germany. Though the movie does note the gradual rise of the nazi party

  • cabaret takes place before 1933.

  • It actually takes place in Weimar-era Germany

  • This is no movie.

  • Its no moon either.
