i used to go to a local arcade to be play street fighter 3 third strike all the time. was able to beat the machine everytime with a grade of A- or better. Once got a golden SS grade, which i was never able to duplicate again

People were a bit "meh" at the time as they wanted thier old characters and arcades were fading out.. I was more into X-men VS Streetfighter and the Alpha series, only later did I get into the parry system and start to appreciate the depth and balance of the game.
@andy7666 yea thats actually a good point but wat tripped me out was the parry system in 3 cus i played online on the original xbox and didnt expect someone parry my upper cut
the only thing unbalanced about SF4 should be that they take all of sagats hit damage down by 10pts...thats it problem solved...its not too outlandish to do...I used to main sagat so Im not biased..you just have to know the matchups

SSFII Turbo is actually the most balanced fighting game for tournaments. It is still played today worldwide...
Street Fighter Alpha 3, though it was mentioned to be the next best thing in the "street fighter" series, is not quite as good or balanced mechanically as SSF II Turbo.

That's the point of the SSF2T game that you seem to miss: quick action into quick combos into quick damage for a quick death. The fact is that all characters can perform in the aforementioned way so that's what makes it balanced compared to other fighting games which lack consistent solidity in their mechanical scheme or possess some characters that can instantly kill with their blows compared to others of the same game that are completely useless.
