As far as i know, the canines (which actually are the dogteeth, if I remember correctly) are ones of the milk teeth which are usually replaced by the permanent ones until the age of 18... So, strictly according to the rule of the house, they should already be free.

And about the film itself... Well, it's not the worst art-house movie I've watched. It sure is interesting enough to have made me watch it until the end. Blame me anything, but I still prefer the Hollywood films to this.

I've been wanting to see this ever since I heard about it in some movie review show. And I did see it. I consider myself weird, and even I thought this was kind of weird at first. What disappointed me about the movie, (I'll be vague for the people who didn't watch it yet) was that it didn't tell or show you the motivation for why the parents were the way they were with their kids. That was the main idea of the movie and it didn't tell you or show you what the parents' motivation was.

@DarkReapersGrim Thats what makes Dogtooth great - and so different from mainstream movies....It doesnt treat the viewer like a child and spoonfeed you every theme, meaning, or motivation of the characters...It leaves all that work to the viewer.... All great art has some degree of ambiguity.
