  • hey i have a question what does efi mean on the f7

  • @butface554 electronic fuel injection

  • @derkcheese3 how many rpm's does it engage at 7000?

  • @oodlesofnoobles 4 grand

  • @oodlesofnoobles 7000 would be fuckin insane...if you have ever had a sled that engaged that high you need new clutch weights because thats fuckin rediculous

  • @YourFavoriteReviewer not the clutch engaging at 7000 you dumb fuck i was talking about the can engaging at 7000rpm

  • @oodlesofnoobles well calm your shit you just said "it" not "the can" dumb fuck i have a reason for thinkin that dick weed

  • @YourFavoriteReviewer ya and i need to calm my shit....

  • @oodlesofnoobles well i really wasnt mad and i dont know that you were so i probably shouldnt have said that but i just figured u meant the clutch

  • @butface554 oh that makes sense

  • hey man sounds nasty i just bought an f5 im liking the sound might have to go with it like it alot

  • how much is a rumble pack? like a ballpark price

  • MBRP cans rock got one on my rev 600 ho i got some videos of it

  • bliane386 - i agree with you i think that sounds is amazing

  • i love that sound some people hate it. but thos who like it like it alot i think if you dont like the sound your to old to be running a big boy sled go get a 250 elan hahahaha

  • IF ITS TOO LOUD YOUR TOO OLD

  • is it just where you are that has a maximum decibel level?

  • how is it illegal to have a aftermarket can on a snowmobile on the trails?????????

  • @580cat

Because we ride on public land and it desterbs and anoys the land owners and the general non snowmobiling public. It's the kind of thing that leads to trails getting shut down. But most snowmobilers including myself don't mind them. Tuners/Racers generally don't like them because they rob the engines of power.

  • rob the engines of power? last time i checked they produce a 4-7 hp GAIN!!

  • @nelsonn22

There's a difference between what the companys that produce cans say and what the Dyno reports say. And let me tell you something. Numbers don't lie. Cans rob horsepower.

  • a can produces better flow, therefore more power...its common sense really!! I dont know what kind of numbers you are looking at. my uncle just got his new snopro dyno'd last week and mine is this week... i'll pull the can and see what i come up with. also, you ever been to a radar run? they put sleds with cans in different classes because they will almost always beat the sleds with a stock silencer

  • ya ill bet you lose horsepower as well. those engines need a decent amount of back pressure. i was gunna buy one for my F7. but they hurt your top end.

  • @ nelson22: I have been to radar runs(we run every weekend) sleds with cans DO run slower than stock cans.. We tested one day on a 02 ZR 800 CCE.. Bone stock it run 100MPH in 1000ft. that Same day with the(in this case MBRP RACE CAN) it run 90 w/ Same conditions and nothing changed other than exhaust cans.they're in a different class cause they're modified(NOT STOCK) IF you want power get twin pipes, porting, reeds and high compression. My uncles 03 ZL 800 EFI dyno'd 202HP @ 8700rpm w/ twins

  • @nelsonn22 You have that right buddy. Put a MBRP on my ZR 900. I can't tell you if it is faster top end but it's not slower and it is better out of the hole and much better mid range. It also took a ton of weight off my sled. The stock can was huge and heavy.

  • than why do people that race snocross in modified use cans?

  • @Flamed440 lightweight, optimum performance.

  • well they do give hp but it slows you down 2-3 miles but who cares they sound awsome

  • better hope you dont get a ticket its illegal to have aftermarket cans on snowmobiles on the trails! but i sounds good lol

  • sweet sound man

  • thats cool, thanks man, what brand should I get, i live up here in ontario, and can get most things from Royal Distributors, did you like my sled?

  • yeah looks mint, nice n clean. If you want a real loud one you can either get a sno-stuff or a mbrp. They both sound badass but the sno-stuff is about 150 bucks less than the mbrp so which ever one you think sounds the best.

  • my dad has an MBRP for his F7 and its set low gear.....BRAPPPPPPPPPP!!!!LOL

  • @derkcheese3 Ya I think I paid $225 or so for a MBRP for my ZR 900. I did get the performance trail version though. It's not quite as loud but has a nice growl to it and performs well. I had the race version on my ZRT and it is LOUD, lol. I sold that sled to a friend and I can hear him getting on it about a mile out in the woods behind my house, lol. Also, nice sled man!

  • that sounds amazing, I have a 04 f6efi, what rumble pack should I pick up?? just got my sled, want it to sound sick, i have a couple vids if ya wanna check it out, cant wait for snow up here in canada

    cheers

    kas

  • there are specific ones for each year and size of the firecats if i remember right, just make sure you get the right year

  • how about none, it doesnt go any faster LOL, just cuts out your back pressure,=less top end, all you get is noise, spend the 200-300$ on shit thats usefull lol

  • like what????

  • I'll have to make a vid of my F7 just for comparisson . i have the exact same sled as in this vid only i have the mbrp can , they only make them in standard trail cans at royal for some reason .. but by hearing it , you wouldn't think it's just a plain can , i'll put a vid soon

  • gotta love that 2 stroke sound

  • that is one clean sled

  • seen your vid a few times and saw its been 2 months since your last post so i though i'd leave you one. Should of let it warm up first. but sounds good...

p.s. Im jealous of your mandals lol

  • i was running it for a while right before i took this vid its all good. glad you like the "mandals"

  • i think i seen a peice of dust on the tunnel! you should take care of that!

  • no i think it looks fine

  • whats the decibel reading at 50 feet from the sled

  • dunno dont have a decibel meter

  • if i put a rumble pack on a 03 f7 efi would it sound like this

  • affirmative

  • is it much louder, because i wanted to get a rumble pack, and they are strict bout' sound where i ride

  • Yeah its right loud, would probably get you into some trouble. i got another video wide open across a lake, you can really hear it then

  • im not resetting the oil pump they already blow up enough

  • hey i was thinking of buying one how much you pay for yours and is it easy to install?

  • i paid 200 for it brand new and it took about 2 min to install, no modifications needed

  • did u drill the hole in the metal plate on the belly pan and install the the second hold down spring? if not make sure and get that done, cause if you hit a good sized bump the outlet of the can may come inside the belly pan and melt it because the can is not being properly held in place.

but nice sled dude, sounds good!

  • i seen one of these today on my burn oh there wicked

  • mhvghvuttyccghghgbytfvgvhfgvgbhfdcguyhtrfdftytrf

  • does that can reduce smoke because my f-7 smokes so much it is gross

  • so does mine, the can isnt gona make a difference

  • the excessive smoke is because arctic cat has the oil pumps turned up to high from the factory, this is normal with all arctic cats. if you cut the oil pump back by about 10%-15% it will still provide sufficient lubrication*, and greatly reduce smoke and oil consumption.

*HOWEVER- when adjusting your oil pump you take the risk of an engine seizure if leaned out to much. make sure to check you plugs often after tuning. they should be a medium to light brown. if the are gray/white you are to lean

  • sick sled out of the blue how much does it cost for inshurens

  • thanks, its like 400 beans

  • what kind of can is that?

  • sno stuff rumble pack

  • i have a 03 f7 with a rumble pack

  • hey just bought an 06 f7 sno pro

    never delt with efi

just wondering if you have to do anything when putting a can on the sled

  • hey, you dont have to do anything else, just put the can on and the efi will automatically change if needed

  • god that thing is probly louder than sin when it gets going haha.

    sick sled man,

  • sounds amazing nice sled

  • sounds badass

  • Love it, sounds better on yours than it does on my Switchback. I've got admit though the MBRP Race Can sounds way better when Idling.

  • when u crack idle tho...sno stuff all the way but i agree with u there i wish it had a more braaaapy idle sound

  • yeah i love the sound of it, mines also an 06

  • man that thing sounds awesome, i got mine rumble pack comming soon, what year is your machine i got an 06

  • its a rumble pack lol, made by sno-stuff. theres only one kind for each different sled
