I was so thrilled to hear this song used to open the final winnowing of this year's So You Think You Can Dance competition. It's a gem, and it really provided the perfect narrative for that event.
@The2010VIP1 NOoo... of course my english is not perfect because i'm not an Englishmen. but at least you should understand what i want to say before blaming me..

Great song of the greatest band ever! Had the pleasure of seeing them live twice, late 70ties early 80ties. Great memories...but the music never get old.
An Evening With Queen 1974-1976 2DVD set, Queen Live at Earl's Court 1977 DVD available at Tommygun Video, please see our Youtube channel for video clips, link to site, and more info
I saw them live many times in different European locations and they were the most exciting band ever!! Seeing this fills me with nostalgic excitement, they were just out of this world when you saw them live before they went disco or whatever it was, in the latter part of the 70's ...
el mejor baterista de todos los tiempos es sin duda roger taylor aunque ya an aparecido unos cuantos locos considerados los mejores pero aun asi nadie puede igualarlo en su estilo con la bateria
Can you imagine people, if Freddie had just entered a different university than Brian May and other members of the band? Or just if he hadn't moved then to London from where he lived before? What would have happened to all this? Then probably they woluda taken another singer and we'd never know such an artist as Farukh Bulsara. I can imagine how many people haven't fulfilled/accomplished their dreams in life or haven't become famous for their great deeds...
Not quite. He uses a delay pedal there. That's a pedal one can set to echo what's they've just played at a certain rate/time. May managed to set it up so that he could harmonize with himself onstage.
(If you already knew what a delay pedal was, I apologize, I just wanted to make sure...)
I'm curious as to how he keeps the delay in tempo. Playing live, tempos tend to fluctuate, so If they were going too fast or too slow it would totally fuck up his delay harmonies. Of course, its queen, so I suppose they are immune to fuck ups like that because theyre just that dam good. God i love this band
It would be nice if they had a DVD for each tour Queen had filmed over the years. Unfortunately the first tour would be only available in audio since they weren't able to film that one.
Queen are always under rated and when people talk about rock bands they always miss out queen. I was never born when queen were around but when I watch shows and biography's about Freddie mercury it always makes me cry. I love all of queen's songs and Freddie's solo songs. If I had three wishes one of them would be to bring queen back
@LittleLiamBeckwith If people miss Queen as a rock band, it's because everybody think of them as the pop/rock act of the 80's, not the hard rocking/progressive band of the 70's. In fact even worst, most people see Queen as "Freddie Mercury's band", you know.
@LittleLiamBeckwith i can relate with u man, queen wasnt around when i was borned, infact i was borned 1 year after freddie died, but its like some times i think he;s still there...u know...
although I agree...my friends and I all bought it...word spread like wildfire...I saw them warm up for Mott at the Kings College Gym in Wilkes-Barre PA...
Let me rephrase what I meant. They were very popular for songs that I think were not nearly as good as songs they have written that nobody ever heard.
I would say they are more misunderstood than underated, like when I was a kid I only knew them for their well known hits like Mcdouglas was saying but as I got older I learned about all there old shit and got a more well rounded idea of what they were all about and how they had grown over time but they such a complex awesome band and studio pioneers man alot of people take for granted some of the thechniques they pioneered
I also find Freddie Mercury underestimated quite often. He is, I believe, by far the greatest Frontman to ever live. There's no such thing as a perfect Rock Band without Freddie Mercury as the Singer. No doubt in my mind
I think John Densmore from the Doors was pretty good, too. It'a shame they were together for such a short itme. :/ When he's drumming on long songs like "The End" and "When the music's over", he really keeps it good all along.
interesting. i find his style very enjoyable. as a guitarist/bassist he's def one of the top drummers i would chose to jam with if i could. who are some of your favorite drummers?
What a great, underrated band. Fanfovada, that is really ironic. This song will probably always be special to you. I am glad you are alright, but this song probably kept you alive! Thank you for sharing. RIP Freddy.
Yeah, he's not renowned as a great drummer, but he kicks so much ass live. He went for more simple beats in the 80's when he got more into songwriting.
