i'm 13 and it brings a tear to my eye to see what has become of our beloved england. My father in law was an RAF vet. He said he flew "Mossies" day and night. In the last years of his life he finally talked of what he did and what he saw in the skies over Europe and England. He loved going up with me, but he never took the left seat. "Rather watch and not have to think about it" he would say. After he passed I did a little more research. He flew not just Mosquitos, earlier in the war he was one of the few. God bless the RAF. And the rest of the UK.

My father in law was an RAF vet. He said he flew "Mossies" day and night. In the last years of his life he finally talked of what he did and what he saw in the skies over Europe and England. He loved going up with me, but he never took the left seat. "Rather watch and not have to think about it" he would say. After he passed I did a little more research. He flew not just Mosquitos, earlier in the war he was one of the few. God bless the RAF. And the rest of the UK.

Lets not forget about the 100,000''s of British that did not fly the planes, sail in the boats or drive the tanks. Let's thank the Land Girls, the people that looked after the London evacuees, the Night Wardens in London during the Blitz and on and on. My Dad was in British Intelligence in the war, and interrogated captured Nazi officers. He never fired a shot but through his departments work saved many British, French, American and other nationalities lives God bless 'em all I say.

In all honesty though I don't see why this was so offensive as it was just a simple question... I don't see how the British fought bravely to help out the Polish in the Phony War thus making the war harder for yourselves in the long run. Had England and France actually attacked Germany "before" Poland being taken over then the blitz could have been avoided.
