In Alaska it is law that you have to eat and make use of every part of the animal you killed. That includes wolves.

If alternatives such as relocation or birth control were feasible, they would be in practice. Making wolf hunting illegal only causes problems, and is the result of ignorant assumptions and a complete misunderstanding of the issues.

If you look at a picture of a wolf, and really look into its eyes.. think about how these hunters can kill them. the wolf in his or her eyes, the shimmer of its eyes and glow from its fur.. makes it beautiful.. how could we just kill them like this. it hurts me moar than anything in the whole world to see a poor animal die like that.. it makes me want to cry my eyes out.. to see something we love so much die down.

nice video, but if you want the truth, you should put some pictures of the animals that wolves eat to show the facts, such as elk eaten while they are still alive, or cattle killed just for the sake of killing. Only people who truly care about the environment as a whole can find it in their hearts to exercise or support proper management of these predators. Worshipping the wolf at the expense of the other biological entities in the ecosystem is a bit inane.
Proper management concerns itself with sustainable, healthy populations of wolves...just because there is a hunting season doesn't mean wolves will "wiped out"...to fear the extinction of wolves is the mark of a true idiot.

If the responsibility of wolf management was placed solely on government agencies, aerial gunning would be the preferred alternative. Hunting on foot by a handful of agents would not accomplish management objectives. To arrive at preferred wolf populations, a form of harvest that maximized success would be adopted, and in the case of gov't agencies, aerial hunting is the only effective solution.
Allow citizens to pay to hunt from the ground, or pay the gov't to shoot from the air.

@bagodirtywealth not a bad argument, i see your point on the use of aircraft by the government as a logical point, but instead of just shooting them, they could tranuelize them, and if it needs to be done, euthenize them after landing, or relocate them, also if they just made wolf hunting ilegal they wouldnt have to worry about inexpierianced people going into terrain that could possibly kill them, or they could get lost in witch would waste the resources needed in other parts of the job.

i will admit that in the past when i was four i was afraid of wolves, mostly because of what my parents had taught me, but then i learned more about them in fourth grade, and now they are my favorite animal.

some religions, especially pagan religions believe we all have an animal spirit that serves as a 'guide' for each of us...google 'animal totems' and that will help you find your spirit guide. I discovered mine when I went to a shamanistic drum circle...closed my eyes, meditated and the animal that showed up to 'speak' to me was a grey wolf. I read about wolves and they share alot of the same traits I have an affinity for.

If you look at a picture of a wolf, and really look into its eyes.. think about how these hunters can kill them. the wolf in his or her eyes, the shimmer of its eyes and glow from its fur.. makes it beautiful.. how could we just kill them like this. it hurts me moar than anything in the whole world to see a poor animal die like that.. it makes me want to cry my eyes out.. to see something we love so much die down.

nice video, but if you want the truth, you should put some pictures of the animals that wolves eat to show the facts, such as elk eaten while they are still alive, or cattle killed just for the sake of killing. For you dog lovers, you will have to give up the dog in any area wolves roam, they go out of their way to kill dogs...
