@ hamstren91 if that was a joke it was really bad one. There were just two r32 versions of the golf. Mk4 and mk5. You can also clearly see the led backlights which are typical for the R model.

@jimpaokara In Romania, Golf "R" could be buyed only in "2 doors" variant. I wanted one, but I can't suffer the "2 doors" cars. It seems that I have to by an "R" from other cuontry...

@tarekjreidini The camera has not enough FPS to capture the LED light correct, that's why it looks like it was flashing...

But this is because the LEDs are working on PWM --- They are set to pulsate to increase the life time. If it had steady current, you would see it steady. Actually the camera has a very good FPS that is why it is capturing it - for example our eyes won't :-)

@DFzwo actually the shutter is opening and closing at the perfect time to cause the flash. you get it sometimes with florescent lights and HMI. im a cinematographer i encounter it all the time

The Golf R is faster than the Focus RS even though the Focus has an extra 30 hp xD

what about Focus RS500? acceleration is nearly the same (only 0.1 sec difference between R and RS) Furthermore Focus is FWD. And it looks much better!:D

looks too much like a ordinary golf consider the price they are asking for. Not enough styling. I think the GTI rear looks much better!

It's not about the styling. it's about performance.

Personally I don't need big bumpers, spoilers and intakes as a "penis extension" like Ford does with their RS.

The Golf looks restrained but sporty. And not like a Matchbox car. That's my opinion.

@mattzee Thats true, but really for the price they are asking at least they should put more design into it to make it more noticeable. When i saw the mk6 gti golf last time i thought it was a ordinary gold until it came closer then i realise it was a gti. When i saw the RS Focus from a distance i can tell its top of the range model.
