the big problem is that the standard keyboard or "input method" has a button to bring up the input method options but Swype does not have this. So you are stuck with the press and hold on the input field.

Actualy for HTC EVO, you have to go to settings, go under applications, and view 'all' catagory, and scroll all the way to swype and tap it, then put force stop
