  • Does anyone know if the crown Napoleon used to crown himself emperor is still in a museum somewhere?

And is the outfit he weres that day still preserved? (sorry for bad english my french is even whorse :-))

  • @TheConfederate1863 The laurel crown used for the coronation of the Emperor was cast in 1822 by order of Louis XVIII, the crown weighed about 1000 grams of gold.

The crown of the Empress was disassembled for recovery of pearls.

  • @ROME59 thank you for this information. Like I said before, damn you know much about this stuff man!!

Perhaps another question, do you know some good Napoleon books (and where to buy them).

    Greetz from the netherlands !

  • Vive la France et vive le Bresil

  • great job

  • @blackgunize amen ^^

  • required more dramatic music

  • UTTERLY AMAZING

  • Hail Bonaparte! Conqueror, liberator, atheist, Emperor!

  • He wasn't an atheist. He believed in God, but not in religion.

  • @NapoleonCalland "If I had to choose a religion, the sun as the universal giver of life would be my god."- Napoleon Bonaparte

    You were saying...?

  • "Everything proclaims the existence of God, but our religions are the children of Men" Napoleon, Emperor.

  • @5B0YAKASHA5 He believed in God Calland didnt say anything thats what Napoleon said. He alos believe that relegion was made by men.

  • @austinoltj 1st- "you were saying" is a metaphore- it meant "surprise, you're wrong"

2nd- If he belived in god, why did he remark the stupidity of religion so many times, why did he abolish monastery's and sell their goods, why did he had a fist fight with a priest in the confession when he was in military academy?

  • @5B0YAKASHA5 Ok he believed that there was a God. Now just because you believe in God doesn't mean you have to be a catholic or protestant or jewish or muslim, he believe that religion was made by humans, because honestly if you think about it, it was. Half of what Christianity no actually more than half was made a 100 years after Jesus's death. He believe in A GOD,but not the rest of any religion.

  • @5B0YAKASHA5 And the monastery crap is a lie he might have used all there food while on a campaign, but he never tore any down he believe that religion is what kept the people from anarchy because of the morals it gave like no killing and such.

  • @austinoltj No it isn't, I have recently watched a documentary called "Life under Napoleon" on Viasat History, it clearly said that he wanted to replace religious fests with those of the state and he took over and sold goods of various orders, especially in Germany.

He thought that it's the lesser evil, but he didn't support it, after all he crowned himself, mocking the pope who coronated every royal head in Europe.

  • @5B0YAKASHA5 It wasn't to mock him it was to show that he was in command and the pope was a lesser. Once again he believed in God but not religion.

  • @austinoltj I respect a fellow Bonapartist, but now you just made no sense.

Isn't showing someone that he is a lesser man, a form of mocking?

Seriously, I have read his biography, and it mentioned a lot of fights between him and the church, nad he never looked up to the bible or anything like that.

  • @5B0YAKASHA5Well I think mocking means like copying like the mocking bird? I've read biographiestoo. But if you watch the Documentary that actually Napoleontas has all of them but the Episode 2(Mastering Luck)part 1-5 explains his beliefs in the church and how it helps.Napoleon didn't believe in Christianity, becuase it was made by men not a immortal god.Napoleon DID believe in A god though. For example,"God is on the side with most artilllery"And he has said many other i just dont no the words.

  • @austinoltj It was to affirm the primacy of the State over religious authorities. Like you said, he believed that "Everything proclaims the existance of God, it's undeniable, but our religions are the children of men". (Memorial of Saint Helena)

  • he wasnt rele an atheist

  • Vive l'Empereur !!

  • @Timothyloyalist vive le Roy

  • Of all the videos I've seen on youtube, this is the one that just about says it all. The only thing we're missing is the liberation of the Jews and if you added that the hommage would be complete.
