I am going to have to go with truthadvocate on this one. More Republicans support minority groups than you think. It is possible that the set up for the debates were done after other arrangements were already done. I truly doubt that race played on this one.

Firstly, I'm sick of people putting the KKK in the same sentence as Republicans. THE KKK WAS STARTED BY SOUTHERN DEMOCRATS!!! The current Democratic leader of the Senate, Robert Byrd, is a former high-ranking member of the KKK! So cut it out! Secondly, when is anyone going to mention the thoughtful responses of the candidates that were at the debate? The Democrats sure won't, because then people might find out that Republican policies benefit minorities while Democratic policies don't.

Truth be told. Neither Republicans nor "Dixiecrats" have minority interest involved. They both run on propaganda machines all the time. Like you said they parted way back when. When this parting took place it was not because one loved minorities more than the other. It was a parting of ways based on land control and money.
